Really liking the look of him. Thought it was a clever signing at the time, but he looks even better than I thought. Get him starting until the end of the season and get him signed up.

He doesn't need to be back up to Tierney, he could add a bit of muscle into the midfield

 

Agreed. We need a bit of muscle, pace and power in midfield.

We don't have disrupters and tacklers there, so we are comparatively easy to cut through.

Also makes it hard for other midfielders to show their true capabilities, when the midfield is getting overrun, due to the lack of a conventional DM or two even.

I have already become a big fan. No question for the remainder of this season he is already locked in as the starting left back. Wages wise I doubt we will be able to get him this summer. But who knows if he likes it enough through the end of the season maybe he will be willing to take less to stay. He is 32 now but for sure we should be offering him a deal IMHO to see if we can get him to stay. No question IMHO we should offer him 2 years he looks well able for it at the moment physically.

 

Sign him up pronto

 

He looks like a naturally fit guy that could play well until 36. Could we maybe get him to sign on by offering him a 4 year deal, even if he might not get as much per year as he would down south?

 

I want us to sign him but his salary expectations may be a concern. Also depends on the other offers he gets and his playing time expectations.

 

In terms of the left-backs, Jeffrey Schlupp has come in with an immediate impact. What have you made of him? Have you talked to him about his future yet or is that too early?

I'll have a chat with Jeffrey towards the latter part of the season. It was the case of him coming in and settling and getting to understand how he plays. I think we can all see he has that Premier League physicality and quality.

He's a guy that's a top professional. That's why he's been in over a decade in the Premier League, because you have to look after yourself. You've got to have the right qualities, not only as a player but as a person.

We knew what we were bringing in. I'm really happy for him, because he's settled into the group really well now. Now he has a feeling for how he plays and what the role is.

It gives us two really strong players to finish the season in that position.

Great finish and that ball for the 5th was outrageous..

 

Would be trying to tie him down to a contract ASAP.

He'll get plenty of gametime next season even with Tierney.

Getting better every game and fitter. No brainer keeping him. Wouldn't let him off the team bus without him signing a permanent deal.
