    Stokes obviously, or Johansen
So despite the fact Scott Brown has played in Champions League last 16 ties, as well as Matthews, Lustig, Izzy..... he's definitely nowhere near a Europa league final level standard? Nowhere near?

Once Guidetti's in the squad in the second half (should we progress) he'll be easily that standard. Johansen in terms of ability is there too imo. Then there's guys like Wakaso who's still finding his feet and Forrest can be a real danger at this level too.

This defeatist attitude is very silly, probably comes from admirers of the "bestest league in the world" as in the English Premier League.

Not sure why you bother having celtic as your 2nd team when you think so little of them.

Basically this. As long as they don't get complacent at all in any tie, which I'd find unlikely anyway as we're hardly a great side.

Not a hope we'll win it though. It'll be a tough ask to even get through the group at the minute.

Fair play to him where one of the biggest clubs in the world and I'm sick of people saying getting to the last 16 of the champions league is an achievement for the players yes but not the club. I accept the fact where poor and play in a * league but imo every plan we make should be for general progression until we have a team capable challenging at the top of Europe and stop settling for mediocracy

Mixed feelings about this cause I'm superstitious but why shouldn't we be looking to win it? No point in bursting out balls to get out the group with no aspirations to win it but let's get out the group first the only thing i can say that was negative is his timing could have been better but we should be looking to win every competition we enter although we are somewhat handicapped due to money issues within our league we are still Glasgow celtic one of the biggest clubs and imo the best club on the planet our history is built from being the best we should continue to implement this !

I would rather have our players thinking they can win the competition, than being negative about the subject.

We should but talk of winning it should be kept behind closed doors. The press and opposition will have a field day with it if we get knocked out on our *.

A player should not think otherwise. Deanayer's message is repectable, even more so when he's a Celtic player.

Good for him. I would be more concerned if he was being a self depreciating *.

I said it pre 2012-13 season and was shot down. I reckoned we were capable of getting to a Europa quarter final at least maybe even a the final

Hey they squad this season may not be as strong but you never know in this tournament a couple lucky results / last minute goals and you never know.
