We won’t be playing two up top though we haven’t for years, the last time I think was Stokes and Hooper. I think it would be better for Griffiths to go out on loan without the pressure here and I honestly can’t see Bayo forcing his way in anytime soon so we need atleast 1 striker in. My point was we need fresh options because I can’t see the two we have at the moment being able to step in for Edouard.

Presuming they are fit and of good enough quality to immediately hit the ground running then we will be better off.

Griff is well short on fitness and Bayo has had injuries and looked raw at times. The stakes are too high to bank on either of them being able to make a serious impact on the run-in and that's exactly what we'll need our 2nd and 3rd striker to do. Eddie has been carrying us offensively.

If we continue in our current formation and style we'll never know as in theory, if Eddie stays fit they aren't playing, bar the odd domestic cup game and in the end stages of the season assuming the league is won by that point.

If we continue with our current formation then I would say only 1 striker is needed then, one of a qaulity similar to Eddie when he first came, granted his record didn't amount to much before us, so trying to find that type of qaulity could mean it will be a loan player initially from the likes of a PSG level club.

Personally I would like 2 qaulity strikers of a level (hopefully) that could mean we let Bayo go out on loan for the rest of the season and Griff can stay here as this allows us to change styles and develop a new line up that isn't a 4-2-3-1/4-5-1/4-3-2-1 our competition have become accustomed to.

Although in fairness if we lucked out and could find another Dembele then we could seriously invest money into other positions like LM/LW, signing... Well try to at least, Forster.

Which I suppose could freshen up the existing formation and bring back it's spark.

Well we can't keep playing the Same formation against the zombies as we have found out that doesn't work and maybe 3-5-2 against them .

Said it on other threads but Griffiths looks miles off the pace at present. His fitness, strength, first touch, link up play etc. He needs games and the league is too tight for us to play guys that aren't 100% at it.

I wouldn't be totally against signing a striker and having Bayo as 3rd choice but ideally we should be bringing in 2 quality strikers, even if one of them is a 6 month loan.

In my opinion, the rest of our squad wouldn't be suited to 2 up top. We're light on CBs, so 3-5-2 leaves us susceptible to injuries and suspensions.

It also means we have to pick between our full backs and our wingers playing on the wing as wing backs. That means a Forrest sitting on the bench while Frimpong plays or a Elyounouissi/Johnston sitting on the bench while Bolingoli players; or vice versa.

If it's a 4-4-2 we go, it leaves us weak in the centre if playing natural wingers out wide. For example a midfield of:

    Elyounouissi McGregor Broony Forrest

Would constantly be overran against 5 man midfields.

Conversely if you drop the natural wingers to play 4 more central midfielders you lose some of the guile of our better players. For example:

    McGregor Ntcham Broony Christie

Some of our top scorers/assisters are sitting out there.

For me, none of those teams play to our strengths.

4-2-3-1 has it's flaws, especially when we play as flat as we did v the Huns but executed well our wingers can cause problems, our overlapping full-backs can too, while defences are stretched out to the danger out wide it creates more space for Christie and Eddie to do damage in the middle. Defensively when we fall back we should be able to go man-for-man with 5 man midfields, Broony and McGregor can track runners and we're not wide open out wide like we have been on previous occasions we've played 3 at the back eg. Easter Road last season.

    Mikey injured
    Mo just out the boot
    Rogic no even training yet
    Christie banned for 3 game's

We 100% need to add a couple of player's now on the wing/10..

Mikey has broken down a few time's and Rogic is unreliable..

    Elhamed is another blow again..

Got some work to do as it's starting to look a lot lighter..

Just got far too many injury prone/unfit players. Usual suspects constantly getting niggling injuries.

Really hope we start getting some business done, looks like soro will be the first, but realistically we need

    ST, perhaps two
    CB
    CDM, hopefully soro
A winger, preferably someone who can play both left and right
an attacking midfielder perhaps? even on loan as Rogic is far too injury prone.

Come the summer it's likely we'll need

Right now Rogic is just a waste of a wage, same can be said for others who have made little or no contribution this season.
