January Transfer Window 2020

I don't even think it's that unrealistic...
If I was to be picky the centre half to be left footed and be able to fill in at left back or left side of a 3..
If we were to get close to that lot above....we'll be well set to go..

Friday is a third of way through window so hopefully one or two meeting the players back in Glasgow on Tuesday at training!

Sounds like we're trying to get some of our business done quickly. Soro looks like he would be a good addition, Murray would be an excellent third choice striker imo, little bit concerned if we've went from Sporar to the polish boy tho, and we still need a CB.

 

We have sold 4 of that 6 for £53m plus in the last 18 months!!!!

 

Anyone else notice it's like an 'event' when we sign a player? Like a real treat. I know fans of all clubs like to see new signings, but for us it's like 'aww yeah Pistol Pete is opening the cheque book!!!'

 

I'd be genuinely surprised if we have anyone in before the Thistle game. It's going to deadline day for me.

 

We have a big squad filled with a number of players who will probably never see first team game time a number of them have been brought in as cheap option replacements or ones for the future but at this moment we need tried and tested ready to go players to get the league won and if Is well and the board don't see this them it s time for them to be replaced with cheaper hungrier options who will fight for Celtic and not just their wages

 

Top CM. Then a CB.

Broony will be 35 next year, we've needed a replacement for ages anyway. Need more physicality in the midfield. Too tipy tapy.

CB needed as well to partner Jullien.

Need to get rid of our * which will free up wages etc.

If we want to go 2 up top it would be stupid to let both Griff and Bayo go on loan or otherwise.

No point bringing in 2 strikers to let 2 go out, least let Bayo go out on loan, griff can be held onto until end of season then review.

Get 2 strikers in and a left sided player who can play a wingback role and we should be solid.

If we really really need to, get in a CB.

 

Would you trust either Griffiths or Bayo right now if Edouard was sold or injured? Because I don’t, we have been needing atleast one striker for nearly a year now.

 

As it stands I don't think we'll be bringing anyone in bar a couple of last minute loan deals. If we were really serious about bringing first team level players in during this window it would have been done straight away, so they could get them out to the Dubai training camp and settle them in to the training, our system and with their new team mates.

While it's not impossible we still might I just think it is much less likely now, with the chances further diminishing as time goes on. Really hope I am wrong though.

I know it's early but thought we'd have some news on someone coming in by now at an airport or something..

Loads of time but I'm impatient as we should have our main guy's identified and almost done before the window even opened..

 

it will be 3 loans announced at 11-55 on the 31st January... by which point we will have played a Scottish cup round and three more league games..

But we will be expected to be happy with that!

 

Hard to get things done in January. We are brutal at negotiating deals at the best of times anyway.

 

I'm 100% positive that we will not be buying 1 single player who will be regarded as 1st teamer from the off.

As said it'll be the usual youngster with next to no chance of making an impact, a loan and possibly a buy who will take about 2 months to get fit.

The usual pish, tbh I think DD, Lawell and Co have * the bed and will be thinking it'll be a struggle to win the league and won't want to throw money at it.

 

Well day 9 in the transfer window and still * all.

I could write this for every single day to be fair. You will get the same people saying oh don’t worry plenty of time nearly 3 weeks left, then 2 weeks then 1 week then don’t worry the next 48 hours will be amazing..... then Willo Flood part 2.

Not expecting anything in this window or getting my hopes up. Please prove me wrong Celtic!!!!!!!
