January Priorities

in what way are we better than last year and who are these great players he has brought to the club?? you still believe lennon is the right man for the job?? what makes you believe this??? the fact he is a celtic legend?? im sorry but he has shown abslotly zilch as a manager and the worst part of it all is he doesnt even seem to be learning!!!
being a celtic legend doesnt mean you should have blind faith in him !!

Mate i do think he will turn things around... i dont think there is alot wrong with the club atm.. apart from the obvious the defence is terrible i think his tactics have been ok recently.... we have been the best team in the majority of our games, individual errors have cost us and players who arnt good enough. the players have no spirit no dig... they want there wages and they are happy... they should be gettin the brunt of this not lennon i still think and hope he turns this around and signs some winners for the cause.

 

Lol mate is it not always easy tho to blame the manager? even when celtic have been the best team in nearly all our games this season and individual errors have cost us.

1st priority for january is get rid of lennon and get a new manager !! im sorry but that brings lennon into your thread !!

 

Would much rather have a robbie keane (sort of) signing. WE NEED GOALS! That with a cb(s) sorted. But no midfielders, as we dont play the ones we have. Atm goals up front. Lacking quality

Get a grip!! He's been let down on the pitch by individual mistakes and has always come out and been honest about it. Give him a chance.

Priorities have to be a CB and ST. Dunne is not the answer at CB, he's a poor Gary Caldwell IMO, makes the same amount of mistakes but cant pass a ball to save his life. As for the striker, a replacement for Murphy coz he's pish!

Totally agree, lets not forget Lennon was free and after the money we splashed on Mowbray i wasnt up for going down that route again!

But as for priorities this January, we need to offload a good few, possibly 4-6 1st team players either transfered or loaned out. Free up some wages and sign a CB, ST and if there's enough cash I'd like a RB. ALthough I like Wilson, I think we can do better. As for Cha, I just don't rate him. Having pace is not everything. Need to be able to defend as well.

 

Yeah i said something similar in another yesterday ,that the squad was massive and Lennon would need to get rid of a good few wether it be players were sold on ,loaned out ,or simply rip there contracts up ,im sure someone posted that Celtic had a squad of 33 players ,if true thats way to many.

 

33 players!!! far too many. Imo, you should have 18-20 first team players with the rest being made up of youth ready to step up.

 

Alot of people want to sign a "quality" CB but why wont they be branded "duds" as the rest of the CBs we have who actually has a fantastic cv?

 

yeah spot on! good to hear marc crosas come out and say how much he loves celtic, but he's not good enough and just picking up wages for nothing, unfortunatley football is a financial game so we need to keep on top of that and clear out the deadwood, although i think lennon has maybe mentioned doing that anyway!
