Many players are leaving PSV this Summer. JVOH, Ooijer (sp) to name a few. Is this becasue Hiddink leaving means that people aren't happy? You were in the CL semi's not long ago and I was GUTTED for you when that goal went in after you played AC off the park. Why is it you are selling your best players?

Let me explain you a bit of the current situation of our club/rest of the clubs.

The traditional top 3 (PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord) have always been the leading clubs in our league.
Nowadays other clubs are getting financial possibilities and they are really starting to make our league better. For example AZ Alkmaar (Louis van Gaal as coach and many players of our national squad play there, fantastic attacking football and since a few weeks a new stadium)

About players getting sold. The Dutch Eredivisie is regarded as a good league. It doesnt have the image of the English Premiership, Primera Division , Serie A or Bundesliga but we are definatly being seen as a medium league. Our clubs are giving youth players a chance to play in the 1st team and most of the time they can develop and they are getting sold after playing several years for their club. This counts for the best clubs and the rest of the clubs in our league.

The Eredivisie is also a perfect place for other players from the entire world. Its seen as a step towards big leagues.
During the season you always get to see several transfers towards the big leagues. It will only increase if we keep giving our youth a chance and with nice scouting and buying. PSV is sort of a trade house cause we tend to buy players and sell them with some profit. Not always because we want to but players also have future plans.

Most of the clubs have quite high debts like PSV and Feyenoord but the clubs are really trying to get red of these. Its necessary to do a transfer now and than to make some of that extra profit to get rid of a debt.

We can buy replacements for those that have gone of course but we can not afford high mistakes. If we buy a player for like 7 million euro it sometimes is being financed by investors. This makes a transfer complicated. We have to be inventive .. sort of the same of your league's club altough Celtic and Glasgow can afford million for 1 player. .. like Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV . sometimes AZ :)

    about PSV:

Yes we did very well last seasons. I think this season will not be as good as last ones but hey ... I can not expect top performances every year. . cause of our debts and the other clubs that are getting good players as well.. I do hope our league will get connection with Bundesliga for example and I hope it will get a even better image .. :)

Well jan will get more media coverage as there is actually I think no media coverage of holland games in the uk never seen any on sky or telewest

Even though most of it is english or spanish or from italy he will get more coverage

If the dutch league is to get bigger it will have to have more international coverage so people start to like it

Strachan will probably stay, with Lawwell and Quinn attending draw to make arrangements with clubs drawn against us.

Quinn will be at the draw, Lawell wanted to be there too but that looks unlikely due to the transfer window looming.

GS will be in Glasgow at the press conference as will Lawell for definate.

Thanks PSV/VOH Fan, I'm suprised you are in alot of debt considering the profits made on the likes of Ronaldo, van Nistelrooy, Stam, Robben to name a few.

Yeah I know .. but the money that we received from example Robben .. we had to give investors a bit of money back as well .. so we did not have a lot of money left to spend .. and players are expensive these days.

And sometims you buy a player that just doesnt turn out to be worthwhile. So a million or more can be spend wrong on that player.

Anyway we also worked on our stadium and our training grounds (for the 1st team and the youth sections) .. so it all takes a lot of money .. .

Another example .. Feyenoord received about 15 million for Kuyt and Kalou but that money can not be spend in total to players. .. debts have to be paid to investors as well ..

PSV and other clubs should have never started with all these investors cause we will keep getting expensive players instead of giving our youth a even bigger chance.

Reading that PSV/VOH Fan, it makes me realise how lucky we are to be a PLC where the money we raise from players goes back into strengthining the first team on the whole.

Just think of the team PSV would have if you managed to keep that team together!
