Yeah, you're probably right. It was just what I thought lol

Feel gutted for the fella... He seems pretty cut up about it.

    EDIT:
Just done a little digging and I'm probably wrong...only place it mentions him going on an emergency loan is here:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...Vaughan-set-for-Crystal-Palace-loan-move.html

"he 22-year-old will go straight into the Crystal Palace squad for Saturday's Championship clash at Reading. Vaughan has struggled to command a first-team place at Goodison Park after being hampered by injuries since his breakthrough five years ago.

The Everton Academy product, who has been troubled by shoulder and knee problems in recent years, spent time on loan with Derby and Leicester last season.

Vaughan made his mark when he became the Premier League's youngest goalscorer with a strike against Palace at the age of 16 years 271 days in 2005.

Finding himself behind the likes of Louis Saha and Jermaine Beckford in the pecking order, he was linked with new Barclays Premier League side Blackpool over the summer but no move materialised.

Although the official transfer window has closed, Football League clubs can sign players on an emergency loan for a maximum of 93 days"

I think it's exactly the same as grella and Motherwell. Grella had played for Leeds and then emergency loan to carlise and then his loan to Motherwell was blocked so it apparantly doesn't matter if it was an emergency loan. Apparantly we can sign Vaughan permanently but he couldn't play until next season... so there wouldn't be any point really lol:icon_mrgreen:

Yeah, it just seems a bit strange that 2 clubs have failed to notice this rule... as have many others.

we dont actually need anybody... we have a good enough squad to win the league..

hooper is back, samaras will be back soon, our strikers are good enough..

i for one hope we dont sign anybody unless its a big name, like keane...
