I dont think he is what we need if we sold fortune we should sign a winger if they want him to play on right or a centre forward to play through the middle and give forrest mcginn when fit, mccourt and maloney the wide positions. As fortune flatters to deceive for everything he does good something bad follows. Like takes ball in well and turns well then final ball is poor or non existant.

Think people need to be careful about wanting rid of Fortune because I think he looks up for it this year and looks to be coming on to form. Football is all about levels and being able to play your game at that level. Just because someone plays in the EPL does not mean they will be able to come here and suddenly be able to run rings around people and score three a game. This is not the case. What this means in football terms is that big Fortune can play his game as he has the attributes to his game no matter what level the opposition are, he will not suddenly start to look like Maradona. He always gives Rangers a hard time because of his physical abilities and has performed well in Europe against good opposition. He also played well in the EPL, so he can play at the top level and we do not have too many of them at the minute who can do this gauranteed. He will be a good solid player for us this season and once the new guys see this and learn how to play with him you will see some great stuff from them. It's all about trust on the pitch knowing that if you commit to a run you will get the correct ball from your team mate and not be caught out, (why playing with Samaras is difficult). Also good players always play well together hence Brown's sudden emergence along side Kayal and Juarez which is no coincidence as all three are going to be a formidable midfield and if you tie this to Fortune's play then bingo!!

have to agree with the midfield trio complimenting each other beautifully, albeit one game.

i've watched Fortune for the last couple of years. i thought he was a good player held back by those around him. however, he still performs the way he did in weaker sides. i will be glad to see the back of him.

hopefully, he will soon be followed out the door by Samaras. despite his great start to the season, he will soon go back to old ways of bad touches, bad passing, laziness and constant sacrificing of possession in general.

i hope they both proves me wrong, but i won't hold my breath. i pray Faddy comes and takes one (or both) of their places.

Was speaking to a steward at the game today who claimed he escorted McFadden and McLeish out to their car 20 mins from the end of the game on Thursday. Just thought it would be worth passing on.

Maybe Faddy was watching as a fan. And Maybe Alec has an eye on someone.

Don't need Faddy here though. We've the perfect balance in the LW/LF/CF position at the moment.

I think he would play in like the LW or AM position and with the variety of players we have to play there i dont think he is needed in the team....certainly dont think he has anything specific attributes that one of our other attacking midfielders/wingers dont have anyway

so you would rather have Samaras or Fortune playing instead of McFadden? i think it would be ludicrous not to buy McFadden if the opportunity came up. if we had the choice of starting Samaras, Fortune or McFadden, it's a no brainer for me.

Only way i see McFadden coming is if Fortune goes to West Brom.

And personally, i'd be happy if it happened.

I rate Fortune ok but if we're talkin about Celtic playin 4-3-3, i think McFadden would absoultely excel in one of the wide front positions.

He doesn't track back & we already have McCourt who is very similar - no need for McFadden + he'll want mega bucks, now he's used to the EPL.

No No No, don't want a passenger who would be paid too much for scoring the odd goal. We need a striker who will score 20+, Stokes almost guarantees that in the SPl.

The McFadden rumours are becoming almost as tedious as the yearly Robbie Keane ones.
