Perhaps a bit too far yeah. But still, Paddy has been with us a couple of years now and every game you still hear the fitness quotes. Christ, he got injured celebrating the other day, that's quite an achievement. I think Lennon knows that Paddy will not be a consistent performer for us, as in the amount of games he will play in. Also his runs, brill though they are will be harder to achieve against the European teams we may play this year. Paddy has sauntered round St Mirren, Inverness and Falkirk mind. We need a player who can unlock the bigger teams. I don't think McFadden is that player either, he has been quiet for a while now.

Personally I like the look of Marko Pantelic, someone who can put the ball in the net. He is a free agent as well! I feel with Maloney, Paddy and Young Forrest we have enough wing options as it is.

Agree we need a goalscorer, there is money there so i would like us to spend a chunk of it on someone proven or a loan deal for a top class striker.

At the very least, i would take stokes, would cost 2m and would score 25 plus goals a season!!

i dont get the clamour for stokes at all he can score goals but his general play for me is * we've just punted ras and he wouldve scored for us regular if he had half a chance * giving hibs 2million for stokes £1m possibly

Would stokes score more in the spl than that jelavic *?

Personaly wouldnt go for stokes, hes not good enough but i do think the way maloney is playing just now(if he stays injury free) him and mcfadden would be a great partnership together.

Same mate but im not to fussed about this so called super signing to put bums on seats ,We seen a very good performance from a hard working Celtic team last night and against Caley aswell so do we want a prima-donna in that dressing room ,it doesnt bother me maybe if this superstar is a grafter and is prepared to put a shift in but im starting to trust Lennons eye for a player after what ive seen so far .

Lennon has money to burn at that minute but i would rather see him buying long term buys with an age of 22-23 so we can get the best out of them and the players he has bought so far are pretty young .

Well stokes is a proven goal scorer in our league and jelavic isn't but only time will tell

I'm honestly struggling to see what McFadden would bring that we don't already have. McCourt can do as much if not more, and the new boys will contribute far more than he ever would. I can't see where he fits in, and at the money he would be getting he would be a very expensive addition to the squad. It is obvious that it is a quality Goalkeeper that we need.

James McFadden would do a job for Celtic, I have no worries about that. Whether or not he would be value for money considering the wages he'd want, and the transfer fee we'd have to pay to get him, is an entirely different question though.

I don't think this position needs our immediate attention, I don't think it would be value for money I'd rather we didn't sign him.

I think that if the team start to perform well and gain the confidence of the fans it will bring them back anyway regardless of big names. It would be nice to see a big name, but not many want to come and if they do it costs too much. At this moment I would rather sign players who will settle quick, work hard for the team and fans.

And I agree with you about GK and a prlific striker is needed more than a WF. It would be good to see Faddy here, good Celtic lad and a good player but our focus msut be in our defence and goalscorers

I'd guess that we'll sell Fortune' and replace him with McFadden.

We don't need McFadden imo! Ideally we need another CB, cover at right back now with Hinkel out for the season, a goalkeeper and a goalscorer and McFadden is none of those! The only way I see him coming in is a replacement for fortune if he is sold!

    a midfield of
    Maloney brown juarez fadden
would be sweet. or faddy can play up top him self, and put samarse and fortune on the wings and someone else in the middle.
I'd love faddy here , big time and I hope the idea of this deal isn't dead to lenny
