He has hit shots outside the box which is what you asked about. Because thats another player we have with the same attributes. Should we have our whole team be attackers with pace? How would we do defensively in Europe? Because our attack still wouldnt compare to those of the elite of Europe.

K mate I guess I believe you. Wont ever understand it. Cause even though I support for one of the weaker national teams that compete in the world cup. I overevaluate americans. Especially compared to the media outside the US. haha.

And honestly if anyone should underrate it should be us as we have all of our good athletes in other sports. :54:

he has hit shots from outside the box yes. but none with great power, really.
    i'll write it again ion.
in europe 5 in the middle one up front. making us much stronger in the middle for defending.

are you saying we do not need anymore attacking players ion?

you said previously that your jelious that we're spending money were its not most important, so if we spend money on the defence, would signing a player like faddy still be bad?

We dont have unlimited funds. you know this.

If we get our weaker positions filled (on defense) than fine bring in McFadden. Only if it doesnt effect our budget.

You have to think of the economics not just your rating of a player.

imo we need a winger. and could do with another dimention in attack, killen too like jvoh and what? magic? ppft. we have no good cover for mcdonald.
i fail to see why spending 3million on one player who can do both a waste of money?

Because 3.5 million is a lot for a player for moments of brilliance. We dont have unlimited funds.

so we dont need anything to help out in the wing or attack?
we shouldn't be making these positions stronger?

The economics of the situation is quite obvious to me....

Sometimes when a window of opportunity opens, and a player of McFaddens quality (and his suitability to the Club) becomes available then it doesnt make economic sense to ignore that opportunity. WGS and PL are not just planning to the end of the season.....

Dot think he needed for such a high price when he s being bought for flashes of brilliance. 3-3.5 mil is to much
If he isso good why dsont he play more for everton, he cant push into their squad caus he isnt good enough for them

hehe I'll probably be put in a straight jacket for the comparison but the low centre of gravity, brilliant footwork in tight areas and incredible left peg which can score from anywhere put me in mid of them a bit but not saying he is near that level.

*,McFadden undoubtedly has talent but he doesn't show it nearly enough. Why are you completly avoiding the fact that McFadden is * for Everton? This a bigger indicator than a few internationals.

We have seen it so many times, players have a good World Cup/European Championships, then are bought by a bigger club and fail.

McFadden is not a good striker and we need a winger with pace IMO.3/3.5m is way too much for a squad player.

all flair players have patchy form and work in flashes. It only takes a few moments of brilliance a game to make a big big difference. As long as they can retain possession when they are not turning it on thats the main thing.

We're going to pay about 2 million over the odds for him on the strength of 'that' goal in Paris.

Far too much money to spend on a player who might score the odd great goal, but isn't a great goalscorer...especially when we desperately need to shore up our * defence.

His name might have Scotland fans nursing a semi but we need to spend that money in other areas of the team.

He can play on the wings. He plays a bit like Naka when out on the right but like Naka his lack of pace means he is not so good wide left.

I do agee with those who say we shouldnt sign him at the expense of a quality CB. The order we need to sign in IMO is

    1. CB
    2. RB and LB
    3. Winger
    4. Striker

Unless we sign first picks for all these positions we may well lose this league. There will need to be at least 15-20 milion in the fee kitty to sign five 1st pick players or we will end up with more of the usual 1-2 million quid average SPL players (WGS cant be expected to pull off Naka/Artur steals too often). Cant see a kitty that big so there is going to dissapointment over either numbers or quality. That will not be WGS's fault.
