  3. Well, I'm not sure that he wouldn't improve the squad, but I don't think we'll sign him anyway.

  4. Don't actually rate him that highly but if he signed you know hed give everything for the shirt and as Paul said on the first page it would be good for a laugh and to see the rags and apologists go into meltdown.

Don't think it will happen mind and not arsed either way.

  8. People going on as if this is a transfer link :giggle1: You'd hear the same stuff from any one of us if we were asked about playing for Celtic...

  9. * all wrong with that.

  10. Much better backup than Hayes.

  11. True but don't want to sign mere backup!

  12. Would you not want a back LB for Tierney?

  13. To be fair we shouldn't be signing backups to anyone. We should always be looking for better in every position, even KT.

  14. At the beginning of the season you would have been laughed off the forum if you suggested Forrest could keep Paddy out of the team. In this regard how could it not be possible for McClean to keep Sinclair out of the team especially when you consider the poor run of form Sinclair has had this season. Also I would like back up that can keep the current position holder on his toes. A poor performing Sinclair is not going to be much less effective than Hayes

  15. Great if we could afford to improve every area of our team. In reality it is more the case of trying to retain players and not have them sold to sign a cheaper option eg. Vic, VVD FF etc.

  16. Aye, I would want someone who could come in and do a job in KTs absence. I know what you mean tho as KT is so good back up is more realistic than direct competition..

Sinclair is hitting form now and we can see the quality he brings to us.. McLean would probably make a decent impact with us but with Paddy likely to go in the Summer, Sinclair, Forrest, Hayes and McLean as our four wingers doesn't sound exciting to me.
Don't get me wrong it would be fine domestically but can't see us reaching the next level with those, I'm looking for that extra wee gem of class in the final 3rd which is so difficult to find.

    Right.

    Bring him home.

  17. I’d honestly love to see him in the hoops.
I know he has some limitations to his game and he’s probably not the player who’s going to bring us to the ‘next level’, but that kinda passion and love for the club is priceless.

The influence that has on the rest of the squad can’t be underestimated. That kinda passion in contagious, and I guarantee having players like Brown, Tierney and McClean can really help get an extra 10-15% out of the rest of the squad.
Not to mention his work rate and the fact that he’d run through a brick wall for the team.

Definitely a yes from me... at a reasonable price of course.
