£16k pw if memory serves, he was meant to be wanting a 2 year deal at £32k pw but accepted the 4 years at half that. Probably with the view from both parties that he'd only be able to play for a couple of years then would essentially be a part timer.

So in a weird twist of irony if we can offload him this window we'd actually be saving money compared to if we'd just signed him on the 2 year deal, the contract length most people would have preferred him to have received, at the wages he wanted. Whether we can offload him though is the question.

 

If Sunderland get Michut then we're likely stuck with him..

Would make sense Sunderland wanted him 2 weeks ago with Neil in charge

 

Hopefully this happens. At this point clearly McCarthy is not in our plans and it would be best for both if a deal can be made for McCarthy to move on.

 

If he goes aswell, this will be the best window i have witnessed in a very long time.
Maybe ever.

 

Yup, be great to get him out. Kind of hoped he would adapt into a role under the manager. But his best days are well gone. Guy's just a fan getting to hang about with the team these days.

 

He was always a signing I thought why? When he signed for us. I don't want any player to come and fail at the club but as soon as he was announced I had a gut feeling it would pan out this way. The only positive from it, was that he was a free transfer.

 

He's on the bench against Ross County. Highly doubt he's going anywhere. If he were to leave, I assume he wouldn't have been with the squad.
