james fowler is 26 he was a * right back then got moved to the middle in a defensive role where he is a bit better.if he were to sign i doubt he'd be any more than a squad player,def no better than sno:50:

Like the above states, he operates better now in the defensive midfield role. However, we've signed enough SPL class players, bought time Strachan starts looking for players who will help our assualt on the CL!

Before the summer i had a list of players id have liked . Bellamy , Barton ,Appiah , Sidwell , Ben Haim , Distin , Brown and Frei . Obvy not ALL them can sign due to finances . But i have a feeling we will be left dissapointed this summer as the players GS seems to be targeting are way below Celtic's expectations

Seems right enough. I was very hopeful for Bellamy, Appiah, Brown and Sidwell. Wont get Bellamy, Sidwells went to Chelsea and Appiah will * off to Schalke. Hopefuly we can bring in at least one big player! -
Martin O'Neill tried to sign Fowler when he was in charge I seem to remember. Don't know that much about him to comment on his ability.

Yeah cant see Appiah joining i dont think well spend £5million on him
I just hope GS has a trick up his sleeve maybe a Maakay or a Ljungberg but i wont hold my breath -

I wouldn't either, I reckon the big name signing we wanted was Brown, and now hes going to filtrate our team with average squad players. Hope I'm wrong. -
ok whats with the celtic fans and being overhyped over transfers whats the matter of signing a spl player ?
The james fowler guy won't be coming here * but I can see naismith coming here he is ideal to play ahead of Mcgeady.
We need people to assult on the Cl what do you think we are going to get in the final and why can't these players preform in the Cl anyway look at naylor he was one of our best players.
Just stop moaning about this player isn't big enough your starting to sound like Chelsea fans. -

we should be tring to sign good plaers not daft mediocre killie midfilders like fowler or killen . Like ive said why do we always say were one of the biggest clubs in the world...yet when a decent player is linked some fans go '' awww no no * NEVER come here '' -
Maakay wil be 33 half way through next season. We would be very short sited to spend serious money on fees or wages for him. Most strikers lose their edge at 33.

BTW I would be very surprised if we signed Fowler. We have Sno, Brown, Hartley, Bjarnison, Caldwell as well as JJ and Grav who have not gone yet. I would really be unhappy if we went for Fowler. If we are looking at SPL defensive midfielders we should go for Brellier.

If WGS had been interested in Brellier he would have moved for him by now. Hearts released him from his contract a month early so he has been sitting in France doing * all. -

So all in all u rate two SPl players from the other 10 teams
Tal ben haim- wont get him will go to newcastle with big sam on riduclus wages
Djourou- maybe get him but do we really need him?
Flamini -good player and i expect him to go to a big french player and i doubht he would play in the SPl
Bellamy- no chance got teams willing to pay over 90k wages for him and meet the whatever price tag pool want for him
jagielka- everton are gonna get him and he will want the extra money
the other 3 i dont no so i wont rate, i dont no who i would sign as that is the mangers job
ofcourse i would like great player but as where we play i dont make my expectations to high and will rate players that play well and will complain about poor performers
