James Forrest

  1. he's been agood servant but his time at the top of the game is up, if he cant take on tavernier or bassey after they had played 210 minutes on thursday and sunday combined then what use is he to us? losing Abada and Juranovic on that right side cost us big time. we need replacement in the summer cause Ralston isnt good enough and forrest is finished.

  2. See there's another myth, as he was starting games, then got benched when the January signings come in. Granted he's had his injuries but folk (in general, not having a go at you) constantly using that as a defence is getting beyond a joke.

  3. I am not using it as a defence of him, my first point was even taking injuries into account it doesn’t excuse him looking like he had played the 90 minutes when he had just come on.

He was brought on for fresh legs and offered nothing because he was miles of the pace of the game.

James Forrest has done a lot of good for the club over the years but also the club have been good to him during a number of long absences due to injuries but have stuck by him. If we are to go forward with Ange’s way of playing he is definitely one that doesn’t have a future as a viable option and needs replaced.

  4. He's lost at least 3-4 yards of pace.

Saw a clip earlier of him trying to run back to track Bassey who was on the move down the left hand side, was nowhere near him.

  5. Big season needed from Jamesy next year. Turning 31 in two months, set back with injury and kept out with the great form of our other wingers.

I won’t be writing him off just yet. He’s a touch older than when Tom Rogic was last written off but still think he has the capability to support the squad.

  6. Loved the composure he showed to play the ball back across to GG for the goal, he has the quality no question about that, just not sure about his overall fitness.

  7. He isn't done like some have said and still has a place, he just isn't the guaranteed starter he once was. He has now won ten league titles with us over 11 years, 20 trophies overall. That's absolutely amazing.

  8. Excellent composure and unselfishness for his assist.

  9. Think we can get better for cheaper wage

  10. You can't just get rid of a player, any pay off would mean that the replacement may not be cheaper. His contract expires next year and I think he will be fine back up for next season.

  11. I'm looking forward to seeing him next season, with a full pre season and hopefully no more injuries. He's on the decline as a player but he can still make contributions to the squad, as we've seen a couple of times this season despite his injury troubles.

  12. Been an amazing servant for the club, score many important goals for us, would like for him to see out his contract then wish him well for the future after that.

  13. Nice assist today.

Thought his final ball made such a big difference to how we finished the game , still quality touch , let's see how he starts the season after pre season.

  14. Glad he came on, what a servant, what a trophy haul.

  15. Aye was a nice cameo..

Lacks the pace for the role and for what Ange wants his wingers to do both way's though. Plus as you say, his fitness and injuries are a concern..

    Think we should upgrade..

  16. Think we need a more reliable option now.

But he was good today. If he's willing to stay around then more than happy for him to.

Hard to see where he would go.

  17. Thought he looked exceptional at times in the first half last night. He’ll be here to play a part next season.
