What 20 more starts ever?

 

In the league yeah.. the same amount he's managed in a season and a half..

The injuries are becoming a bit more frequent once again and a touch frustrating for the supporters too. But still think Forrest has plenty to give. He's only 30 so he's still a young man to be fair. Can still go for a while yet but hopefully the new head of sports science can improve his conditioning.

 

Harsh to write him off..

Do mate.. its only my opinion but I think Ange will bring in his own players and James will be used as a squad player.. he's not getting younger and can't stay fit..

I don't think anyone doubts his ability when fit and on form but its been a long time now..

 

That long lay off last year and the stop start to this year looks to have taken it out of him. He has either lost his pace or is terrified he’s going to get injured if he try’s to sprint.

He started last season poorly before his injury. His form has been indifferent in the games he’s played this year. I do think he can still have an impact but would be looking for another option on the right wing or as a striker if Maeda is brought in as a wide player.

If we bring in Maeda who mainly plays left wing or CF, we have Kyogo who can play CF, Jota, Left wing or Right wing then someone who can play Right wing and through the middle would be a good buy.

Abada, Johnston and Forrest can all contribute but the later two can’t really be relied on. Also Giakoumakis seems injury prone too.

 

Sounds like recurring injury he had way back that hamppered his start in the first team , I remember him coming back and being scared to show his explosive pace to the by line ,took him near a full season before he had confidence in the problem area ,and judging by the recent injury pitfalls of the ange system ,looks like its same thing .

 

Has had some shocking misses today and two against the diets..

Looks like a player who doesn't want to get injured to me..

 

All totally true yet in the League Cup Semi-Final it was the spark he gave us not just the goal when he came off the bench that won us that game. Frustrating that he can't seem to stay fit and get a run going right now as when he is on he is so good for us.

Absolute * nonsense.

 

To be fair he does seem to be one of those players that seem fragile.

 

Hope we can get him fully firing and taking players on again..

You could tell injury was curtailing him, as almost never went to the byline recently.
