wonder if shved would have had a chance of a game even as a sub late for christie, would have been good to have the option

looking at his stats for final season for Karpaty Lviv 26 app 15 goals, more an unorthodox striker than winger ?

Dembele can't even get game time off the bench and he's an out and out winger and has none of the issues Shved supposedly had with acclimatising. I think this season has shown that just because somebody is available to be picked doesn't mean lenny will pick 'em.

Karamoko should have had a chance in his position before now, or even the bhoy Harper who can play there too. Frimpong, Christie & Henderson have been interesting choices by Lenny in that position but I think it's a shame that neither Karamoko/Harper got an opportunity in that position, especially with Forrest out.

Karamokos a wee guy, he’s not ready yet.

Harper looks ready for a chance though, definitely.

Agreed. Karamoko isn’t ready, he’s too young and slight for the SPFL hammer throwers.

Karamoko looked good to me against Hibs in pre season with a goal & assist, that was a near first team Hibs side as well if I remember right & I didn't think for a second that he's not built properly for this yet, imo it's just more bizarre management from Lenny of one of the biggest talents our academy has produced in years. Now we're gonna lose him for next to nothing because Lenny wouldn't give him a proper opportunity even with the first choice RW out injured which is shocking.

Look at the performances of Soro & Turnbull or even Henderson on Thursday who we've barely seen this season, if that's how they could perform then how many other players in the ranks who haven't had a fair chance this season could also make a similar impact on the first team? How can we trust Lenny's judgement after seeing what Soro, Turnbull & Henderson could do against strong opposition? Let's also not forget that he was happy to sell Rogic in the Summer & froze him out the team most of last season yet Rogic has proven that he still has a lot to offer our first team.

It's that lack of judgement which makes me think could players like Connell, Karamoko, Harper, Oko-flex, Hjelde, Coffey etc also make a big impact on the first team if given the opportunity?

James Forrest has come off his crutches but is unlikely to be seen on the pitch before the end of January, according to Neil Lennon.

Celtic have badly missed the influence of the Scotland internationalist who has regularly made a significant contribution in terms of goals and assists; last season the 29-year-old netted 16 goals before the premature conclusion of the campaign in March.

Forrest has been a mainstay of Celtic’s drive towards ten-in-a-row with his presence most acutely felt when he has been absent. The winger had to have surgery on a persistent ankle injury and has not played since Celtic’s Europa League game against Riga in September.

He is coming off the crutches at the weekend which is a step in the right direction,” said Lennon. “We are probably looking at the end of January. By then we will have an idea of where he is.

    January would be too soon
