Well I guess we'd be at 1-0 now with the Eddy goal.

NL on Forrest: “He’s underplayed in terms of public image, but I think that suits him. That’s five in five now and we don’t take that for granted. He’s an outstanding player and he’s got so much more to come

Actually thought he had a poor game tbh, but credit to him scores some important goals.

Genuinely after Kalju I was genuinely thinking he wouldnt score anywhere near as much this season. For no good reason, just a hunch. Wrong. Fake news.

Thought he was fairly quiet tonight but what a goal scorer. A Celtic man.

    What a player!

Say what you want, but he is 10x more valuable to us than Tierney. So so important to us and should never be sold.

When he’s through in goal you just know he’s going to take his chance, really calm, composed finisher.

And that's a piece of his game he's really only added in the last 2-3 seasons. Great to see continuous improvement throughout his career. Absolutely love the guy.

As said I thought he was quiet tonight, but is taking his chances brilliantly.

Such an important member of this successful era. Just plugs away doing his thing, he doesn’t need the songs and plaudits to know he’s a player either. * absolute nightmare for any team, anywhere.

Is he getting slower or is it just me ? Maybe he was just a bit leggy in the 2nd half.

Has anyone scored more goals for us in European qualifying?

He’s not as quick off the line as he was, think that’s been the same for a couple of seasons. Don’t know if it’s because he’s bulked up a bit or that but... i don’t think it’s detrimental to his game at all. He thinks about where to be far more in the last 2/3 seasons and it shows.

He’s still quick, but I don’t think he’s full speed right away anymore. I genuinely think thats been for a good few seasons now though and it’s when he’s been at his best.

Doesn't really use pace to beat a man as much these days, I don't actually think he's that good going on the outside anymore, doesn't get the half yard of space he used to.

Would of been his main strength 4-5 years ago, but his is game is a lot more about picking it up around the box, passing and moving now.

He can still shift when needed but the good thing about him is over the years he’s had to adapt his game to playing against 4 banks of 4 or 5/4, with double teaming against him.

Hitting the byeline and crossing was one trick pony stuff and it only got his development as a player so far and the effectiveness of going to the byeline was much of a 50/50 attack in regards to the cross coming in.

His game has developed and even though you don’t see that constant pace being used on the outside, doesn’t get injured as much anymore and he has developed himself in to a very effective inside forward. He links play well, makes good parallel runswith the 18 yard box, always looking for shots at goal, which we’ve all see time and time again, is his A-game now.

He does have quieter games at times but no less effective as a team player, always has that danger element about him the opposition are wary of, always capable of breaking the deadlock. Sometimes a player can become invisible in a game and then pop, breaks through with that all important goal again. That’s Jamesie.

In my opinion, he’s always a first pick. Will never stop trying to get that goal and as seen again last night, more often than not, he produces on the big nights.

Shved has a long way to go to shunt Jamesie out of the team. :56:

    So crucial to us now.

I've went from wanting him punted 3 years ago to feeling he is our most important player tbh.
