James Forrest

Forrest has actually been one of my favourite players of this season so far.

Much more so because of the total turnaround in attitude and effort.

Looking like the player Lennon once said he would be!

 

He really does make a difference when he comes on now.

 

As soon as he is back , Moussa gets back among the goals. Great set up . Dembele will score more when Forrest and Tierney are in the side because they deliver those low cut back crosses that he thrives on .

 

I was thinking exactly that earlier when that ball was cutback, about KT. Remember KT, who loves to do that, assisting Dembele twice I think it was at home to Killie, exactly like that where he peels and stays just off..

I'm no sure if Izzy has assisted Dembele yet, out of curiosity?

No doubt when that left is back with KT and Sinclair, and Forrest on the right, we'll be scoring more goals in general..

 

Same. Always felt Roberts was the better option, not sure that's the case now. But it's all good Forrest/Roberts, Dembele/Griffiths, good problems to have

 

You wouldn't of said this a year ago.... But Roberts is far more predictable than Shooders..

 

It's nice to see someone you always believed in show what he can do. Long may it last.

An early Christmas gift

 

Exactly that, Roberts tries turn players inside out and Forrest just drops a shoulder and is gone.

 

Incredible how we are all speaking about him just now....what a turnaround

Aye with no disrespect to Izzy (and he might have made a few assists) but what I notice about KT and Forrest is they look up before they cut back so they will generally have a better chance of finding a guy in space. Forrest for instance definitely knew he was passing it to Dembele and it was such a brilliant assist Demeble just had to guide it home.

I think Gamboa has to learn this too as he's made a few brilliant runs but his cutbacks have just been into dangerous areas rather than looking up to see if anyone is in there or not. That'll come with time I think.

Feel a bit sorry for Izzy, he's been putting in some not bad balls but again they are to dangerous areas and unfortunately no one has been there to collect.

Makes such a huge difference if a wide player can look up while still being in control of the ball then crossing to a team mate in a good position.

I think we'll need Forrest's ability to track back when we play Sevco because it's so important when they're trying to counter. He's been excellent at it all season too.

 

Im missing him

 

Slotted right back in yesterday so that's a bonus. always a worry a player will have lost their momentum after an injury.

I think he will run riot against the huns on hogmanay.

 

I can only echo the above sentiment,great to see him play the way he has been.A lot of the older guys didn't seem to like him but even they're giving him the credit he's due this season.Hope he keeps it up..can really see him
tear * up at hunbrox...canny wait.

 

Couple of cracking runs tonight

 

Will be a nightmare for them when we are 1 up and they start throwing caution to the wind . Forrest will lap up all that space in behind.
