James Forrest

Brendans has given him a fair crack at it. Time for Paddy.

 

That right side with him and gamboa is grim.

Paddy makes it tolerable.

 

Forrest offered better protection to the full back. He was poor tonight but when Paddh came on Gamboa was on his own.

That's the long and short of it. Paddy must start on the weekend though.

 

He's a real Jekyll and Hyde player, so infuriating at times as he does have the talent to trouble most teams.

The thing that annoys me most though is how cowardly he can be at times, scared to get stuck in, watching their winger Johnson, he was aggressive and going right through everything whereas forrest pulls out.

 

I actually thought Forrest was good tonight, better than in recent weeks. He had a couple dangerous runs and always opens up space for others, needs to be more creative and bold in his passing though, like Armstrong he's too powderpuff overall.

Gamboa had the odd decent moment but once Paddy came on he went back to his old self.

 

Forrest is a wee shitebag, he kept pulling out of tackles and wouldn't take on his man and put a cross in.
Time for Roberts to have a run of games.

 

I thought he was anything but a shitbag, he did a job defensively and that is why he lasted so long.

Paddy was more productive though and deserves his shot.

Time for Paddy now, JF has played well this season, but has been very poor recently for me, whilst Paddy has looked effective.

For Scotland, a defending JF is the last thing we need.

 

We will never go to the next level with boys like forrest and mcgregor in the team. Completely bottles it in the big games.

 

Roberts is just a far superior player. Might not work as hard but he gives us far more quality in attack.

Forrest is working harder than he has done in previous seasons, but his quality on the ball in the last few matches has been similar to the old Forrest. Time for him to be dropped.

 

Does my * nut right in, he has the talent to be a right good player, if only his attitude was just as good

 

Hope to * we land Roberts permanently next season cause the thought of relying on Forrest in Europe again next season is depressing.

Not a goal threat at all at this level and technically very lacking. Doesn't beat his man often enough either and his final ball is disgraceful at times. Has to be a backup at most next season.

 

Didn't think he had a particularly bad game, but agree that he needs to be dropped, and Roberts given a run out

 

forrest on his day can skin most backs but he has no football intelligence because he's as bright as a blackout!! he gets in some great positions and then doesn't know what to do with it and screws it up a lot of the time. It's not a lack of effort...the kid's just not got that side to his game.

Squad player for me.......not a starter.
