He might not have earned his place, based on his two cameos recently. But Forrest, albeit he scored against Aberdeen, has dipped the last couple of matches.

The fact of the matter is, Roberts is a far better player. It might be harsh on Forrest, but we Paddy is more dangerous.

Roberts was poor today granted, he is still the far better player though and Brendan knows that.

Brendan will also remember how Roberts played against Barca in pre-season and that he has the beating of some of their players.

All Brendan has to do is compare Roberts performance for us against Astana away and Forrest's performance against HBS away in Europe, only one winner.

Forrest in the Nou Camp is like throwing a rock into a pool and expecting it to float. Just not gonna happen.

My biggest memory of Forrest in the Nou Camp was being lazy and sleeping in the dying seconds when he had came on as a sub to let Jordi Alba * their winner in one of the most gut wrenching sickening defeats I've ever watched from us.

They're both dangerous. Roberts has better close control and dribbling, but Forrest beats him for raw pace.

Either of them gives us a threat on the break.

Thought Forrest was the better of the two yesterday personally, he was ripping them to shreds from the beginning and only started to let off in the second half, I agreed with the sub.

With Roberts coming on you expected he would destroy the deflated and tired huns but it never really happened for him.

Yeah. I think so too. I'm sure Roberts will get on at some point.

Brendan will look at their defense especially their left back and decide who will start.

Crossing the ball to nobody was bugging the life out of me especially second half when he had so much space to strole it into the box

The fact Brendan started Forrest against Rangers and he then went on to have Wallace in his back pocket suggests to me Forrest will start against Barcelona.

The way Forrest has been playing lately he's far better defensively.

    We'll need that in Barca.

By that time the game will most likely be gone.

Start Paddy whilst we have him and let him do some damage that Forrest is incapable of in comparison to Paddy in terms of skill and finishing.

Although James has created and scored more than paddy this season so far. I'll stick with James. Paddy is rusty as could be seen yesterday.

Adrenaline playing in such an arena and on such a stage will dispose of any rustiness imo.

Each to their own but I'd go Roberts, don't forget as well Roberts and Dembele have developed an understanding with each other from their days at Fulham and know each others game. They played some nice one-twos yesterday as evidence of that.

JAMES Forrest never looks further than the next match so he was surprised yet delighted to discover that he was on the cusp of making his 200th appearance for the club.
The weekend’s Glasgow derby 5-1 win was the winger’s 199th game for the Hoops since breaking into the team as a precocious 18-year-old in May 2010.
The Celtic Youth Academy graduate marked his debut against Motherwell with a goal and since that day he has been a key member of the first-team squad.
Like all players he has experienced highs and lows since making his senior bow. There have been goals in the UEFA Champions League, including that unforgettable last-gasp winner over Shakhter Karagandy, and cup finals and a number of prestigious individual accolades from his peers.
However, the 25-year-old has also had more than his fair share of injury problems, which have hampered his progress at several points. No-one has been more frustrated than him at these unfortunate turns of events.
Used sparingly in the second-half of last season, and with his contract set to expire, it appeared the Scotland internationalist’s time in Paradise was coming to an end.
But the appointment of Brendan Rodgers has breathed fresh life into Forrest’s Celtic career. In the early season games there was a perceptible freshness and vigour in his performances. His spark and belief were back, and he was thrilled to sign a new three-year contract last month.
Now it’s just a matter of weeks before he breaks into the top 100 all-time Celtic appearance holders. Forrest is looking forward, and he told this week’s View in an exclusive interview that he’s in no mood to slow down.

How does it feel to know you are on the brink of reaching 200 appearances for Celtic, particularly after your future at the club looked uncertain at the end of last season?

I’m absolutely buzzing. I have always wanted to stay here coming through the youth ranks. I’m delighted about it and I want to make as many appearances as I can and keep going. There have been a lot of ups, such as the all the leagues and cups we have won, and going into the Champions League three times now, while my debut is up there, too. So there have been loads of good moments and hopefully there will be more to come. I will just take it game by game and play as much as I can. I don’t think too much about it but when someone does mention it to you, it’s good to hear.

You must be pleased at the way things have worked for you and the team since the season got underway?

The start of the season couldn’t have been any better for me. It’s been really positive. Scoring helps so I just want to keep going and I want to keep it up. The manager wants everyone to be aggressive and working hard. We got into the Champions League and we won our league and cup games. We just need to kick on and keep doing what we have been doing and working hard, which we have been doing since pre-season.

Brendan Rodgers revealed that he sat down with you and said that he believed in you as a player. How much of a boost was that and how much did you appreciate it at the time?

It was really good when the manager spoke to me. I spoke to him in the off season and then he said just to come back and work hard. I think he said that to a few of the boys. It was a tough pre-season but it felt positive and it’s been great for all the squad and I was delighted that I got to stay as that was what I always wanted. I’m glad that was happened. Training has been hard but positive and in the first part of the season we’ve done well in the league but we can’t rest on that.

Was that a wood-based pun? Forrest? Forest? Trees? Wood? Woodchip?

    I love you, man.

Took on a lot of responsibility to dig the game out just before his goal. The desire he has had this season is something I've. Ot seen from him since the 3-3 Killie game.
