I wonder if Roberts could play the number 10 role?

Roberts has to bide his time though imo, the front players are * electric just now. An injury or loss of form and he should be right back in.

He will get his chances though, last 30 or something. His class will see him back in eventually but I really don't think he should walk back in. We've scored 14 goals in 3 games without him.

Forrest deserves to start in Israel and should. Bring Roberts on if he struggles. Simple.

No way you should drop Forrest on Tuesday. He's earned his chance to start with fantastic play. He played good against Hapoel in the leg. If he is ineffective you can bring on Roberts or change the formation. Roberts will have plenty of more games to shine but Forrest is our player after all and has made a terrific turnaround under Rodgers. He should and will start on Tuesday.

I think he could. It'd be interesting to see him there. 4231....

    Forrest Roberts Sinclair

    Quite sexual.

That would mean dropping Rogic from that position and i don't think that would be a good idea.

And Dembele to add to the mix :smiley-laughing002: A good problem to have though, an abundance of attacking talent.

I think we have the most exciting selection of attacking players to pick from since MON's team.

I wouldn't have a clue what to be doing with them if I was Rodgers when they're all fit and firing.

I think Roberts can play centrally as can Sinclair which will make life easier when Roberts is back and we're trying to fit everyone in.

Forrest definitely can't, tried him there a few times and for me it never works. At his best, as he has been the last month, it's all about facing up the full back and driving at people.

Could play that the old 3-2-4-1 formation :smiley-laughing002:

Man City actually play quite similar to that now, although they say they line-up as 4-1-4-1, they really look like:

    Caballero
    Stones Fernandinho Otamendi
    Zabaleta Kolarov
    De Bruyne Silva Sterling Nolito
    Aguero

Where Fernandinho plays like an old Sweeper and the full-backs play in centre-midfield.

It's funny now everyone is saying this. Steven Thompson and Michael Stewart on Sportscene then slagging the huns for ridiculously slow build up and attacking options. I thought that's where everyone was saying they were pleasing on the eye?:56:

Inter Milan stands out when Virgil was sent off and we subbed Gms. He was brutal and pretty much a man down centrally..

Totally agree on the other's. Been banging that drum about the conundrum when Roberts is back..

Scary mate... I bet every team we face (Europe included) will be wary of our attack. Not saying we're better than anything they've faced, obviously, but they'll know we've got goals in us.
    :56:

    * it. I'm in. Test it out against the Huns and their defence.

If the police get involved this time, we could get done for torture :icon_mrgreen:

With Forrest playing so well, it means that we don't have to rush Roberts back for Tuesday in my opinion. It's great that he has been back training, but he hasn't played any minutes in the past three games. I don't think we should then be putting him in on Tuesday for his first game back, especially when both our wingers are in good form anyway. Hopefully the game is wrapped up early on Tuesday, and we can give Roberts a run out to get him back up to speed.

Imagine we'll see both Forrest and Roberts play tomorrow. Logic suggests start the one who's match fit then Bring Roberts on as the game stretches and tires

Forrest is in the form of his life at the minute, really playing brilliantly well. I agree that Forrest will start and Roberts will come on last 20 if the game is stretched. No doubt I will get pelters for this and never thought I would say this but I wouldnt put Roberts in ahead of Forrest until the latter loses form. Roberts is brilliant but Forrest is our player and is there on merit.

Forrest is playing extremely well but roberts is the best attacking player in scotland for me and will be a huge asset to us going forward. Happy for Forrest to start and Roberts to come on as an impact sub tomorrow.

It's great that people are starting to think lile this. We have a player can match Roberts.

Also James has the advsntsge of playing both wings, we ahould consider him competing for sinclairs place as well.

Don't want to pish on his chips but was absolutely rotten tonight. I've kept back from eulogising over his good form due to being burnt many times over the years with him & tonight emphasised a lot of his deficiencies again. Poor control, technique, awareness etc
