  1. ask and player they say wingers and strikers especially thrive on confidence and he has for sure. some of the stick he took and what was said about him was and has been very sad. remember mon saying about agathe if he had an end ball he would be a 15 million player and if he h ad that wouldn't have been playing in Scotland. I had a lot of the same issues with mcgeady both similar players and both were guilty at times of overplaying so he is what he is but gives his all

  2. Just wish that when he comes to a man/oppo he didn't stop "a la Jinky" and then go. He's much better getting the ball and running at the boy - not giving the oppo time to think.

  3. I thought he had a great game last night, very attacking, got back well, set up a goal with a fine cross for Griff, and got us up the park plenty of times.

I've said it before, but Rodgers has him playing like a man now, and not some stupid arrogant little bhoy.

  4. Last night was the forrest of old....running at people and making an effort....hope he keeps it up.

  5. He had far more joy when he cut inside last night. In fact, both of their full backs looked comfy when our wide men tried to attack on the outside of them I thought. Forrest has been like a new signing. I do feel he is very lucky to still be at the club, but he is grabbing his opportunity. He is a good option to have when he is playing well. His cross for Griffiths last night is something I want to see more of from him. Lifting his head and picking out a man. It was a perfect ball for Griffiths to go and attack.

With the right attitude he is a different player. It shows he had a total disregard for the club under Deila for a spell.

That was disgraceful from him, but in the here and now it looks like Rodgers can get his attitude right, which in turn makes him a good addition to the squad.

Still a * for his previous though :icon_mrgreen:

  7. Was so impressed with him last night, never seen him work so hard in a game before. He chased everything and need gave up when he lost the ball, tremendous stuff.

Though he was a lazy wee * past Few seasons but he's won me over again.

  8. Doogs.

Doogs. Lustig your the one, you still turn me on.

Defo winning me over again as well. Every time he got the ball on that right wing he looked to make something happen. Looks like he did when he first burst on to the scene.

    Some turn around for him.

tbh i thought he drifted in and out he was great in the last 30min but there was a section in the middle where i thought he was going to get subbed off

  10. Forgot it was his blind pass for Broony's goal at the 5th as well. Nice and the ball for Griff was class as well. The finish was much better..

  11. I was part of the "shift" Forrest campaign, a month ago......however the change under Rodgers has been fantastic - his application has been top class. In my opinion a winger can drift in and out of a game at time (Sinclair did a little last night) but you should really gauge them on the key outcomes, effort and importantly NOT hiding.....if he applies himself over the season like he did against Beer Sheva then I would be happy.....will not be a first pick when Roberts comes back, but decent option on the left or the right...

  12. Well done son keep it up,think he will have a good season.

  13. He made himself noticed on and off the ball, caused them problems running at them but also shut them down and hounded their players when on the ball better than even Griffiths last night.

  14. Another excellent performance last night. Like Brown Forrest seems to have found his best form again under Rodgers. Lets hope he can maintain this form and stay injury free as on this form he is flat out fun to watch and such a big player for us.

He still has a fair way to go to win me over, yeah he's had a couple of good games but I just get the feeling he'll have reverted to type by Christmas. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

I wonder what happened with Forrest under Deila.

On one hand, the injuries seem to have cleared up since Ronny took charge. On the other, he seemed to fall out of favor and lose a bit of direction.

Either way, he seems to have a lot more belief and aggression in his play.

  17. Same here. Take more than a handful of decent performances to win me round after the way he's played the last few seasons.

I'm the same too but I will happily give him credit when it is due.

I do agree though that all is not simply forgotten...yet. This form of his is frustrating if anything because where the * has it been for the past 3 years!

I thought he was playing just as well as he is now before Chrismas last season. Stuck out in quite a few games in Europe for us.

After Christmas he was only used sparingly because of the contract situation, but whenever he did play he was brutal. Think it was a mixture of him not really wanting to be here and then just not being as sharp as he could be from not playing every single week.

  20. Glad he's back on form. Still maintain he was one of our best players in Europe last season but domestically he's been poor over the last 2 seasons. Hope he kicks on.
