    Roberts Rogic Sinclair
    Dembele Griffiths

That should be our set up when every player is fit in most of our league games, especially at home.

There's an argument that Roberts could maybe come in to the hole possibly, if Rogic is out or we mix it up having Sinclair Roberts Forrest as our 3 behind a striker..

    Another option for Brendan..

I agree that Roberts is a better option but if forrest keeps on doing the business it's going to be hard to drop him when Roberts is fit, surely you agree?

Our options in the front 4/5 are looking frightening now.

Couple of defensive minded players and I would be happy.

Maybe a GK as well, Gordon is horrendous for quick counter attacks.

The only reason Forrest is "doing the business" is because Roberts is out injured, which has allowed Forrest to start matches. As soon as the better, and far more consistant Roberts is fit he comes back into the team.

Forrest coming back to form is bad for nobody. Worst case scenario is we have severe competition for places and someone gets unhappy, great problem to have!

Plus Forrest, Sinclair, Roberts and at a push Griff (if Dembele was up front) can all play across the front and on either wing, great flexibility and I expect us to rip teams apart this year with width and pace.

Just hope James can stay fit, think that's been the biggest barrier in his career to date. Every time he looks like he's on a run he gets injured, it's clearly * his confidence and style of play - his first season he was a proper winger, constantly beating people and getting balls into the box, now he always cuts back but hopefully this is the start of him performing at a consistent level.

    Gordon
    Lustig Toure Sviatchenko
    Roberts ...............................Sinclair
    Brown Rogic Bitton
    Griffiths Dembele

Very exciting prospect.. And that team doesn't include Tierney, Forrest, Simunovic and Janko.

It'll definitely be a hard decision but Roberts is on fire, Forrest is just trying now and folk are getting excited :56:

Forrest is showing how good he can be when he sets his mind to it.. But he's still quite a bit off the level of Roberts and Sinclair. If everyone's fit and well, Forrest is sitting on the bench.

The goal away in Astana is why if Roberts is back he plays, no harm to Forrest but he'll know himself Roberts is on another footballing planet to himself and I'm sure he'll understand Brendan's decision.

It would be like Larsson getting injured for us and David Fernandez coming in and playing decent for a few games, Henrik gets fit again and well the sensible decision has to be made for the good of the team no matter how well Fernandez was playing, similar situation with Forrest and Roberts here.

Forrest can beat a player with pace almost every time but his final decision making and end product is patchy at best and poor at worst. With Roberts he'll beat his man twice over with not just pace but also skill and then on top of this his end product is just on another level almost always making the right decision be it the right time to pass or the right time to shoot. And he's usually deadly with whatever method he chooses.

I think we need to calm down a bit. Forrest has had 2 good games back to back. That doesn't oust a player like Roberts just yet.

There's a danger of the praise being exaggerated. Let him get a run of form, then we will see a good fight for the wide positions.

Like I said, Forrest will never get the actual Praise he deserves.

You can be sure his thread will jump 10 pages when he has a bad game though.

He was at the heart of almost everything we done tonight.

So far I've only seen the goals, but I like how he responded to Dembele's second. Was in space in the box and signalling for the ball to have a shot for quite a while but when Dembele scored Forrest was delighted for him.

He got plenty of praise in here tonight anyway. It's great to see him enjoying his football again and really knuckling down with the pressing game.

I noticed that myself. He was also one of the first to congratulate Sinclair against Hearts and got right in amongst the fans himself.

Have to say I agree, it's as though he's never played a good game in his life for Celtic.

Roberts should play when fit, but Forrest is most definitely making that choice more difficult for Rodgers.

Forrest just needs to play predominately wide on the right.

He is just much more effective there, I think he is just more confident and comfortable there, although playing on the left has benefitted his overall game because its made him think more and use his weaker foot which has increased his intelligence and tactically.

We actually have real competition in the wide areas for the first time in a long time.

I have not quite given up on GMS yet either - his issues are strength both physically and mentally these can be fixed he needs to bulk up and get stronger and faster, this will also help the mental side as his body changes he will get more confident. He is a talented player on his game ad if he works hard he can be a useful player for us and increase the competition.

Having a improved GMS and a in form forrest as back up for roberts and sinclair aint half bad.

Roberts starts when fit. No question.

Glad to see Forrest actually trying for once but he still isn't in my starting XI. It isn't a bad thing to have him pushing Roberts, though.

I hesitate to admit it but he actually seems quite a likeable wee guy to me.
