I'd have him out on the wing before Armstrong. I like James, hes fast, liked him before his good run recently.

Think he could do a bit better in being connected with the fans, he has zero social media platform. He needs to improve his fan base and people will let go of grudges.

On his day i would have him in the team, always liked a player with some pace who would run at teams.
but that is the worry....he has not been on form for way to long.
think i would have preferred he moved on...but if he keeps up his form then fair enough i guess.

Dont think he has done enough to deserve a new contract. Hopefully Brendan will get the best out of him. There is a good wee player in there somewhere if he can be arsed showing it.

If he can keep play like he did at the weekend on a consistent basis then fair enough. Not a fan of him at all though.

some people saying dont know why got new contract, but would you rather a player leave for free, he has come through the youth system, been awesome in early years, but with injurys, he has been hit and miss, just needs a run of games in team, and always good back up for sinclair and roberts, after all can play both wings, so i dont see why some people dont want him giving new contract, sure rogers knows the game more than us, and in rogers i trust he knows what he is doing

Forrest should just have moved on. I don't think he will ever get a fair crack of the whip from some Celtic fans.

He could play 10 good games in a row and then have a stinker and still people would use it as proof that he is somehow *.

having a stinker or an off day is one thing but not applying yourself when your wearing the hoops will never be accepted by our fans.

just hope he gets stuck in and if he loses the ball then go get it back.. don't sit on yer *.

he is not going to out muscle many (if any) defenders but he does have the pace to go past them. problem is when he loses the ball and falls to the ground and sits there feeling sorry for himself. i hope he can produce the goods on a consistent basis and most importantly remains injury free.

I think Rodgers is the manager that James has been crying out for all along.

Rodgers knows what he is doing, and he knows a player when he sees one.
James must have locked down in training and been effective, and against Hearts he was MoM. A pacy winger who, on his day, can terrorise defences and also provides us with cover for Scotty Sinclair and Paddy Roberts.

Where exactly is the problem here?

    It was?

We had about 4 stand out players last season and Forrest certainly wasn't one of them.

Go read this thread from last pre season until November sometime, people were raving about him.

    Edit.

He did seem to down tools sometime after January I'll admit, even I was getting sick of him.

To be fair though, most of our team downed tools after the new year.

I think most people, myself included, went off him more for his attitude than anything else. There have been plenty of average players that played for this club who were loved by the fans because they gave everything. All most of us ask is that you do your best and dont just throw your hands up and give up when you lose the ball. He has always had ability, he just looked like he couldnt give a * a lot of the time.

The amount of times he's chucked it whilst wearing our jersey makes it very difficult for me to be happy about this. Would have gladly let him walk.

Just needs to show more passion and fight as last season he didn't seem to give a * and was happy to be a bit part player. Now I am sure brendan will get the best out of him and this will be a big season for him and us.
