I dislike his attitude. In fact I always have.

Could be so much more than what's he become at this stage in his career.

That's my biggest problem with him, and something I've always said about him too.

He just doesn't give that wee bit extra.

One example today was, a ball was played wide to him in the first half, and if he had tried he'd have kept the ball in. Instead he just let it trundle out of play, and some fans let him know about it.

There are occasions where he jogs along side defenders instead of trying to close them down. He shrugs his shoulders when trying to win a ball in the air, as though resigned to losing it beforehand. His backtracking is as weak as I've seen from any wide player. He just shows very little commitment and fight, and I seriously cannot for the life of me understand how people still defend him at this present time.

I hope he turns this around and gets back to something like the player that Lennon raved about (over the top in my opinion), but right now he looks finished to me.

Gary MacKay Steven is number 1 by a mile for the foreseeable future. No question..

2 months ago and I would have laughed at those claims..

Recently heard a commentator saying Ronny was switching like for like when he subbed Forrest for GMS and I almost choked! Forrest has the ability to look busy without actually doing anything.

I could sense you were very tense and uptight after the game :icon_mrgreen:
Best way to deal with it is to be glad we got the draw and live to fight another day, this time at home :52:

What is evident is, there is not another player in the present squad with as little commitment as Forrest.

    Not one.

You cannot say Guidetti doesn't have commitment when on the park?

He's lost the spark he first arrived with, but his commitment isn't up for question imo.

    That's debatable.

I've said it for ages, Forrest offers the sauare root of * all defensively. Don't get me wrong he (on occasion) DOES offer a direct avenue heading forward gaining the yards up the park but that's it.

His constant shrugging, injuries and total lack of progression (along with his defensive NOTHINGNESS) will see himshipped out the door.

One onstance that keeps sticking in my mind was seeing him in the Quay a few months back - just had this aura about him that screamed "look at me - I am the ultimate *".

I've always said that the interview Neil Lennon gave on SKY after a game where he said Forrest was a world beater, was the start of the end for him.

It was as though he believed the massively overhyped praise he was given, and it started to affect his game.

Before that, he was a hard working young player trying hard to impress and stake a claim for a starting place. It seemed from that moment on that he believed the overhyped praise he was being given, and from that moment on his ability has stalled.

I've also heard from outside sources that he thinks he's a superstar away from the club, and I could very well believe that.

He's finished at Celtic as far as I'm concerned.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but his attitude is just all wrong.

Let's be brutally honest - what exactly does this laddie have now except pace? (which, by the way isn't as explosive as it once was).

Lennon (as you say) blew smoke up his * from day one and I agree that seems to have negatively affected him (no fault of Lennon's though, I suspect).

He will NEVER be a regular starter under Deila, nor does he have any other uses in the team bar hit the byline and (attempt) to put a cross in.

    Say ya later "Shooders".

He hasnt lost it. When he gets firing on all cylinders again he will prove a few of his doubters wrong. Wouldnt be surprised if Pete is actively trying to offload him though. He did sign a decent contract a couple of years ago.

Played a little better than we've come expect from him but even at that he was ineffective for most of the game.

One performance of his that always sticks out in my mind is the away match against Udinese, he looked outstanding up against a really good team. It's telling that was over 3 years ago now and he hasn't kicked on.

Just watched the highlights again, he was involved in most of our best play 2nd half.

Set up Stokes, Set up Guidetti, also his cut in and pass to Johansen who layed it on a plate for Guidetti.

He definitely got better in the second half. Actually tried to take a player on a few times and set up a chance on one of the occasions that he did cut in.

I hope that shows him that he can do it and he grows into it a bit more. Always seems to be playing with fear which could be misconstrued as playing with no commitment. (It's most likely both though)
