Almost, almost back to his best

One of these days he'll stop being scared of wind, blades of grass, and the slightest hint of physical contact - and we shall have a Ballon D'or Bhoy on our hands.

 

He was * amazing tonight, seems to be since he's came back from injury this season something has clicked with him, taking on more responsibility, fighting for the ball (can anyone remember the last time he stopped with his hands in the air?), happy to go into his left or right fight, take men on in the inside or outside channels.

Passing and link up, offering options to come inside. Looks the player we all thought he could be. Long may it continue, long may he stay injury free and get a good head of steam behind him.

 

Yep,silencing the haters..

That change of pace and direction he has back in full flight is sensational to watch..

Starting to screw the nut and making more of the right decisions at the right time..
One two with broony and head up and cut back at the bye line for example..

 

my thoughts exactly! That and fans tend to give more stick to homegrown players.

I personally think Forrest is one of the best players on our team but obviously stuggles with injury. Hopefully its just a phase at this time in his career. I'm actually surprised no teams have ever really came in for Forrest.

 

I thought he had another great game

The bhoy has got a lot of talent and I hope he stays here and continues to develop.

 

just needs to stay fit. If that means play a few, sit out one then fine. But he is some player.

Been probably at his best recently. Lennon likes him a lot so he'll be in the team every week while fit

 

When James Forrest plays the way he did tonight he completely lights up games. I think the reason fans become frustrated with him is because they know how good he can be and when he's struggling with injury it doesn't always show. If we qualify for the champions league next season it would great to see how a fully fit James Forrest would get on because unfortunately for him he seems to pick up a knock before big games. Hopefully he'll stay clear of injury for the remainder of the season and continue to impress.

 

He's at his best when he's got the ball and running at people, his turn of pace is frightening sometimes.

Been back to his best in 2014, even still missing the odd game he's as sharp as he's been in ages and beating players for fun.

 

done well when he came on, but he cant get a decent run in the team

 

He gave us a whole different dimension when he came on and was easily the best player of the last 30 minutes.

He's been brilliant when he's been fit.

I woulde love him to be fit all the time.

 

I wonder whats wrong with him. He seems to miss 1/2/3 games every other game, but they never seem to be injuries as he never gets subbed off injured or anything. He must have something wrong with him.

Like when was the last time he went off with an injury? I cant even mind it, he misses games then plays 90 minutes - especially in the Champions League, he was playing full 90 minutes in the CL even though he hadnt played for 3/4 games before them etc we play him a whole game in the CL then hed disappear for 2 or 3 games only to play 90 in the CL again lol

 

he was in hospital last year with a bad viral bug so maybe its something to do with that, as u say he never seems to get a bad injury in games
