Dont think there's a fan on here tht wants him sold.

It's inevitable he'll be away to play in a better league at sone point

He still has to prove himself but the potential is clear. He should definitely not be sold

    Behave... !!!

Forrest is worth the square route of zilch right now as he hasn't had the game-time to show he can be consistent! If he can keep it up till the end of the season, then he may find himself in the £1 - 2 million bracket.

Even just based on his performances and the fact he's in and around the national team, I would say that he's already in the £2M bracket. Especially the way money is in football nowadays.

except for the 5 year contract he signed this summer. With all due respect i think its bullshit to say he will go this february or next summer. Right now we have him on realitively poor terms. I think that we could extend his contract again and put him on terms with our best players if we did that then he would be in a pretty similar situation to mcgeady and leave for big money at around 24 or 25 when he is most ready to make an impact in a foreign league.

    I'm not picky.
I think the OP is just saying in a hypothetical sense on what to sell him for now if we sold him (unless I'm wrong), but in my opinion it's WAY too high a figure for Forrest, even though he is good.

I think at the moment IF we did sell him we could get a good £2M or £3M for him due to the potential he's got. But because of the potential he HAS got I think if he keeps going the way he is and improving the way he is then I don't see why he can't be worth what McGeady was. He is only 20 so can still improve a lot.

Play in the spl you may own your house and get some savings when your playing days are over.
Play in the epl and you will end your playing days not having to worry about money for the rest of your life.......everyone wants to play in the epl at some point.
If we are to ever get better and get back to cl we have to stop putting a price tag on our best players and keeping them like we did with larsson, other wise we will only ever be a half built team.

10 million....no thanks just not for sale.

It was fairly well reported at the time. Of course that doesn't mean it's accurate but that was the figure that was widely banded about.

Great young player but 10mil is an unrealistic valuation, there are aspects of his game that still need improving.

:56:best player in the team this year and he'* and miss, get a grip. If we let him go for anything under 10 million we are doing ourselves a massive disservice. Honestly without Forrest we would have no one in the team who can run at defenses and open them up, we would be incredibly one dimensional and have absolutely no width. Forrest is key to our future success and I hope he is as loyal as Aiden was and will sign a new contract and stay here for 3-4 more years.

Everyone has to remember that he will probably be sold to the EPL where money is no object so when the time comes to sell him(not for a long while hopefully) we should push for a ridiculous fee.
