hes been in need of a rest for a few weeks. its a pitty that weve not been giving commons some game time to have them both match fit and fighting for a starting place.

yes but part of me thinks of him as just being a young kid who's trying to protect himself  There's too much pressure on him too soon and like as not he will end up burnt out :54:

I thought he was crocked by not going for the 50/50. He held back as though simply trying to block the ball instead of winning it.

This, for me, is a myth. He's played well in some games, granted, but this notion that he has dragged us through games is simply not true imo. People say he was the one player who got us through the Killie game (3-3) but I'd rather say Stokes got us through that.

Today we only saw fleeting glimpses of what he's capable of, tbf the whole team were below par.

He's put in some really good performances this season but a spell on the bench may give him a much needed kick up the backside.

I would say both Stokes and Forrest rescued a point for us that day.

I can recall games earlier this season where Forrest has provided a much needed spark, his ability and drive has helped win us games.

He's a young player with bags of ability, (albeit certain aspects of his game need improving) who will benefit from the continual guidance of Lenny.

My thought he was brilliant today.

I don't know what game he was watching to be honest. :56:

Hopefully the injury isn`t too bad. Was in and out of the game today but he is still looking a bit off. A couple of weeks rest will do him some good. There is absolutely no doubt he is going to be some player but I would still have a fully fit Commons on before him. A lot more creativity with Commons imo

you do understand he is a winger right? I don't want my centre mids * out of tackles but it really doesn't bug me when creative players do it, he's not in the team for his tackling he's there for his offensive threat. tbh I can't think of to many wingers who are known for getting stuck in, sure you want him to cover ground down the wing but he does that well and has been improving all through the season.

Forrest and stokes were both equally influential but if i had to choose i would say it was forrest.

Obviously stokes did well in the Killie game but it was Forrest who got us going, after the match Lenny called him inspirational if i remember correctly and I certaintly thought he was. He's also the reason we beat hibs in the cup, he did single handedly drag us through that game.

we really missed forrest today, we lacked any kind of pace. McGeouch's short cameo showed what Forrest could have done if he had been fit, Hearts were so narrow yet we had no one who could exploit it.
