The problem in my opinion is that he's been rushed into the first team far too quickly on the back of a few great performances, players like McGeady and Maloney played well for us at first but they were benched so they could gradually find their feet and slowly develop. Forrest on a few occasions this season has looked out of place, these are the games when he should have been dropped for his own good.

Think that too much pressure is being put on him to produce the goods on a consistent basis. Today, I was looking at him as being the player who would do all of the creative work for us but it is too much to ask of such a young player. Who else would you play though? Commons season has been a disaster and he still does not inspire with confidence when he comes on as a sub.

I think a lot of the criticism he's got today is harsh. He didn't have his greatest game but he managed to beat his man several times and get balls into the box, supported the attack well and almost scored. 1 on 1 he beat his man every time, and sometimes got the ball in when they doubled up on him as well.

What do you expect from a player who’s had a number of injuries. He’s not going to get game time by sitting the bench.

He’s the best wide player at the club and should be starting every week. He was the reason why we almost won the league last year.

played well last season but just hasn't been the same this year even when fit. right now and for the forseeable future forrest is our best option out wide. Davie provan summed it up perfectly last week when he said that wide players must be worked into the game by their teammates, that just didn't happen today.

Commons has been nothing short of dreadful this season. he does have six assists but forrest has seven and Forrest has contributed nine goals while Commons hasn't scored. Obviously Commons hasn't played as much but he looks overweight and uninterested any time he sees the field.

Personally i thought Forrest was good today, beat his man most times he got the ball. Winger is the only position on the field where you are totally dependent on others to bring you into the game, Forrest simply didn't get the ball enough today but when he did he took on his man and beat him with pace. I hope his injury isn't to serious because he's our only pacy offensive threat and I think we need him against Rangers.

Needs a break. Most football he's ever played, wingers are always going to be inconsistent and the amount of games he's played probably doesn't help.

he's underrated if anything third in goals and tied for second in assists yet if doesn't put in a motm performance everyone goes on and on about how poor he was. He's learning his trade and put in a very decent performance in the first half today, wasn't as good in the second half but he should have won a couple of freekicks that Collum didn't give. He certaintly doesn't deserve to be dropped, he needs support from the manager and fans and game time to develop further.

If he is overrated, then it is simply because some people are expecting too much of him and then being left disappointed when he doesn't live up to said expectations.

He is still a young lad and people are too quick to forget this. It is hard for anyone to make it at a club like Celtic, never mind a player who has risen through the youth ranks and cemented his place in the first team in such a short period of time.

Of course he's going to have his off days, as he is still learning, but no one can deny his undoubted ability and the potential he has to go very far in the game. It may be a good idea to bench him for a couple of games though, if only to get his fitness levels back up. He has shown on several occasions just how effective he can be when in his stride.

The 1 thing that will turn him from a good player to a brilliant one will be if he grows a set of baws. The 1 50/50 I have ever seen him go for and he ends up crocked because of it. The top drawer wingers in world football will always stick the boot in when required, Forrest is yet to realise this.

Not going to be too hard on him because everyone is aware of his potential but he isn't quite there yet.

People being far too hard on him. Forrest dragged us through a lot of games this season.

We need to remember his age he is still developing. If he was that good every week he wouldnt still be playing with us.

He is our future and should be encouraged not slated.
