    Aye this.

We joked the other day that we would add a couple hundred K as well, absolutely not surprised that's what happened.

Though to now be at £3m is a pleasant surprise but realistically should have been what we came in at first if they're asking for £6/6.5m.

The way we do those it'll be the John McGinn saga all over again where rightly the selling club will just not budge on their valuation because of how dickish we have been already.

We've probably tried to up the bid in Guilder knowing us.

We expect top dollar for our players, yet refsue to meet other clubs valuations but happy to spend £7m in corporation tax.

I honestly don't think we have a plan going forward. Still rely on Rodgers contacts and agents hawking their clients out.

I am half expecting Jamie Vardy links at the end of next week to begin.

    Genuinely tinpot.

Clearly we've retreated into our shell of anything above 5m is a risk.

5 mill with a add on and get it done.. lot saying this lad is more 10 than winger but seems we see him as a winger. If it's who Rodgers wants get it done.. we need a rw in urgently

Idah signed middle of August and Engles on deadline day, the board will put off spending the big cash as long as possible plus likely after the CL play off Quali.

The Huns linked with his team mate, watch them get the deal done while we * about.

Why do we do this every single year.

I do not fancy our chances of qualifying regardless of who we get at this rate. Any team we face are likely to have a better CF than Adam Idah.

Forrest Yang and Tilio fighting it out for RW position… deary me.

The warning signs have been there for weeks. Can’t see us all of a sudden getting our act together.

They have said in the "coming years" it will be more difficult to qualify so we will retain cash to avoid selling players when this happens. They are looking 2 years down the line from now.

It’s all pish though because we still sell our best assets even when we have CL football.

To me this strategy just creates an environment where what they are guarding against actually becomes the reality. Plus half of what we have in the bank would be enough for that to work.

I genuinely don’t believe they have a clue what to do with the money as there is no one with the skill set from a footballing side to advise on the right investments.

They could argue they turned to Rodgers last year and investing in players didn’t work (their view) and that one is clear when there were the sly media briefed digs after the 3-0 at Ibrox.

There was no sly digs of the kind when basically every player brought in by Mark Lawwell had been bombed out the team by New year the season prior.
