Wouldn't even entertain a bid unless it was stupid money. Yes he is frustrating, yes he has flaws, yes he doesn't score enough but all that aside, one on one he can be devestating and not just in the SPL either.

I actually think there is far more to come from him and it might be best if he does leave and realises his potential in the big bad world. He may have found a comfort zone with us.

I think we are lucky to have him. I know he can be frustrating at times but he has so much natural skill and is still relatively young.

    Nah silly i'm afraid.

At the game today he was losing the ball alot throught trying too hard to try and impress and make something happen.

He's become the new whipping bhoy now samaras isn't playing, mcgeady trys to do something with the ball and all the other players just pass sideways that's why he gives it away more.

At the minute he's going through a bad patch but when he is good he's good and when he's bad he's actually not that bad but people just over-react.

replacing him with maloney isn't an option because who's going to play the other 10 months next season when maloney's injured?

My advice to all you moanewrs shouting at him today is to lay off him if you want him to regain confidence and applaud him for trying something like you do with keane.

I think you would find someone in the market who is better than mcgeady for the talked about 8mill or you could prob get 2 or 3 good players for that he is so overrated. Now with his attitude that he really could not give a flying *. PS HOW MANY GOALS HAS HE SCORED I THINK CALDWELL AND MCMANUS HAS SCORED MORE THAN HIM THIS SEASON THINK ABOUT IT WORLD CLASS MY *

Off the top of my head I don't know how many goals but his 3 at pittodrie (over two games) where quality goals. I'd love to see Mick or Caldwell do that.
If we were to sell for £8m how much do you reckon would go back into a quality winger? I think 2 mabey 3 tops. In other words we, the fans would be getting short changed, sell the flair player and replace with someone with potential.

We do have a lot of wingers at the club but where are they now? Even when our top player is having an off day we can't even replace him so you could imagine what it would be like if he did move on.

How many goals does he actually create over the course of a season? His passing and crossing are amongst the worst in the first team, so he rarely scores, and rarely puts in a final ball that results in a goal. Just because he skips past 3 men then loses the ball 5 times a game doesn't make him creative, because the only thing he has created is a goal kick for the opposition.

In my opinion Maloney is a far better player than McGeady, but due to him being constantly injured he's not really a realistic replacement. McGinn isn't ready and to be honest I don't think he's ever going to cut it with us as a first team regular. McCourt is capable of things even McGeady isn't but can only do it for 30 minutes, once a month, so can't replace Aiden. We will need to buy someone to replace him.

I like McGeady but no one can say that we have seen a marked improvement in his game since his debut, which was years ago. In my opinion if we can get £8M for him we should take it, and use the money on a replacement. We need someone with a bit of pace and skill that can cross. How about Jermaine Pennant, he's having a bit of a bad time of it in Spain so might be willing to make the move. Or the English boy that plays for Turkey, Kazim Richards I think he's called, he's always looked pretty good I've thought and if no English teams have come in for him yet they probably aren't going to. These are just suggestions, I'm sure there are plenty of decent wingers about that would run riot up here. McGeady isn't the world class talent we all though he was going to be, but maybe if he moves on he can improve his game.

For his own benefit indeed. For players to improve they need to be playing better footballers, have better coaches etc. If he were to move he would up his game without a doubt. And imo the main reason in his downfall in form is the fact he does not have a mentor anymore i.e. Tommy Burns. As soon as TM passed McGeady went down and has struggled to reach the heights he was once at

we must be the only club i know where the fans think that by selling our BEST PLAYER will somehow make us better , waken up for gods sake , so * he doesnt score he still sets up other players , whenever were under pressure in our own box we give the ball to mc geady and he carries it 50 yards up the pitch and suddenly were on the attack , he's a great outlet for our defence and no one else can that job better than him at our club

It was funny at the game yesterday because I realized a trademark McGeady cross is one which doesnt get past the first defender. He wouldnt last a second in the Epl. Too even think that Spurs or Liverpool would be interested in him is just a joke.

He's good with his left foot though.

His lack of end product, shelfishness, and headless chicken-ness is like having a mad down. The amount of times he doesnt lift his * head is unreal for a professional footballer. I just hate watching a player that I think wholeheartedly that I myself can pass shoot and cross better than him.

Maybe we're excpecting to much from him because the team has been poor this year...Do u think people would be asking the same questions or where asking the same questions when where winning winning things

If we sold McGeady we wouldn't replace him, we might get 8m for him but would only use maybe 3m of that money and would end up with a championship player who has been tipped for big things, he is very frustrating to watch but is still our most creative player, we cant sell our top players if we want to push on next season. Mccourt and Maloney are not the answer to replace him, selling him would be a backward step imo.

To be honest I think most people where saying the same things since he won yopy and poty. Although back then people felt that the end product would come with age and hardwork but as the years have passed when have seen no improvement in his deliverys, shooting and passing.

6 this season from a wide position

How many goals have Brown, N'Guemo, Crosas, McGinn, Ki, Zheng Zhi scored this season?
