Seen the last 20 minutes and Novara looked good, soft red card but prob a penalty. 3 rd goal was when the game was virtually over.

Did Sneijder get injured seen him limping towards the dressing rooms?

Inter Milan have sacked coach Gian Piero Gasperini after just five matches and three months in charge.

Just shows that he's a genius, despite being an idiot. In his two seasons there he won two leagues, cup and Champions League. All that with Italian team who are, let's face it, jammy * and are always very lucky in European games.

Think that's a very niave view to be honest.

That team was a very good team, Samuel Eto'o up front with an in the form of his life Diego Milito. Lucio, the best CB at the time with Julio Ceaser in goal. Esteben Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti.

It was a very good team.

I think judging all Italian teams as jammy and lucky is insane. They are just very clinical and very good defensively. It's not luck that there are more European Trophies resting in Italy than England.

And that's discounting their International records as well.

It's no coincidence Milito and Lucio had amazing season when Mourinho took over. He also got the best out of players like Muntari and Stanković, something no manager before or after him did.

Same Inter that lost to Valencia few years ago and didn't go past last 16, Liverpool beat them both home and away in last 16. Schalke also beat them in both games last year. Last week Trabzonspor beat them at home.

Just shows the difference when you have a great manager like Mourinho leading the team.

Don't get me started on Italians, especially their national team.

Milito was a proven goalscorer when he arrived at Inter no way can Mourinho be given credit for his performances when he was already a striker who'd scored at least 20 goals in 5 of the 6 seasons preceding his arrival at Inter.

The same argument can be made for Lucio - he wasn't exactly underperforming for Bayern before joining Inter although Mourinho must get the credit for signing him.

And I will agree that Muntari did become a noticeably better player after Mourinho took him to Inter than when he was at Portsmouth; where, despite the press he received, I don't think he played particularly well enough to merit a move to what were the current Serie A champions.

As for Stankovic, he actually had a better season after Mourinho left. And while "the special one" was there Stankovic recorded no noticeable difference between his previous seasons (bar one) and Mourinho's :50:

Fair enough - I agree totally with you here. If not for Mourinho's influence I doubt the team would have came through and won the CL. Especially his (while I disagreed with the sheer negativity of them at the time) extremely effective tactics against Barca in the semi final 2nd leg that year.

This I'm not going to even respond to as I can't be arsed arguing over petty stuff today so I'll leave it alone though I don't think any more needs to be said than Devlin1888's point that the trophies speak for themselves and it is clearly not luck (defensive or not they have had to score the goals to win things either way) :50:

Post Mourinho lul, but Leonardo was doing alright there I felt, fair play to Novara, they played really well - Since there is a lack of loyalty in Italian football these days, I may say Ancelotti for Inter?

I may have an outside prediction and go for Napoli for the title, really enjoyed watching them against Milan, Cavani hat trick too.

As I speak from Gab Marcotti of The Times..

@Marcotti: Sky Italia reports that Claudio Ranieri's lawyers expected at Inter HQ in about an hour's time. 1 yr deal on offer, Claudio wants 2

Juve 1-0 up against Bologna :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen: If the scores stayed the same - which I don't expect - it'd be just Juve and Udinese with maximum points and BOTH Milan teams would be in the bottom 4 :56:
