I second that. Great player and an absolute gent.

Have to say can't see the scudetto leaving Milan. AC Milan or Inter will win it for sure. There's gonna be a very interesting race for the 3rd spot: Juventus (if they become a team and finally find some consistency), Napoli, Roma and Lazio will be battling for Champions League spots.

Another bold prediction. Andrea Pirlo will re-discover his form this year.

I think it is going to be really interesting this season with at least 5 teams maybe in with a chance of winning the league. Dont think Napoli will be handle the CL and Serie A at the same time but if they can, they could win the title. Juventes seem to be spending strongly again but none of their signings have came off the last few years. Imo Roma will be the team to beat as they have a really strong and young team. Will be good to Lamella in action. Foolishly I thought we could have signed him:icon_mrgreen:

    1. Roma
    2. Milan
    3. Juventes
    4. Inter
    5. Napoli

    Cavani to be top scorer

Juve are opening their new stadium tonight against Notts County.

Nice to see they kept a bit of the Delle Alpi for the new stadium.

Crackin new stadium though tbh the fans hated Delle Alpi so maybe a bit needless to keep parts of it :56:... even if it does look good !

They really didn't take to it.:56:

It was an iconic stadium though so nice to see a bit preserved.

Same mate meant to mention that in my last post ! It was my uncle who told me that was all the capacity would be we were both shocked. They might fill it out every other game but surely they will eventually do themselves out of gate receipt money? Unless they plan to simply expand it somehow but it makes little sense to stop at 41,000 first :97::50:

Aye, if they do it right and the fans take to it they are guarenteed sell outs. They have a bigger fanbase than both AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Just a few stats to back up my previous point :50:....

    Season: Attendance Avge:
    1990/91 43,114
    1991/92 51,832
    1992/93 45,868
    1993/94 44,520
    1994/95 47,866
    1995/96 41,946
    1996/97 39,271
    1997/98 47,347
    1998/99 47,164
    1999/00 42,229
    2000/01 41,273
    2001/02 40,687
    2002/03 39,771
    2003/04 34,365
    2004/05 26,429
    2005/06 55,987

These figures where from the Delle Alpi. Remember that a vast number of fans couldn't really see the game from points in the stadium and this did contribute to a drop in attendances as the years went on (and the fact they had to travel to outwith Turin to get there meant the fans getting tired of being there at all). :50:

My point is, with all the spending being done and stated ambitions of challenging properly again they must assume attendances will rise again, dropping the capacity from 67,000+ to 41,000 seems a tad short-sighted. :97:

Should still be a crackin atmosphere though as they are so much closer to the pitch now they've took the daft running track out :56::50:
