This thread highlights how poor an attitude a certain section of Celtic fans have, not the boy himself.

    Disgraceful, yet again.

naw mate i think almost everyone in this thread regardless of their opinion on the matter is a "real" celtic fan. Some people are just a little bit * if the rumors are true because a highly talented player may be leaving without repaying the club for basically saving his life. I think you'll find almost the entire celtic fanbase feels the same way about liam miller and the 3 amigos all of whom chased the money and moved away from celtic because of it (except none of them had the club to thank for their ability to even be a footballer and possibly be alive). The name Tommy burns could easily be replaced by the words celtic football club so read it that way if its * you off

    Liam Miller is totally different.

He was a prospect that was brought through the youth, got his chance, and grabbed it with both hands.

It wasnt until the last year of his contract he pledged himself to celtic, said he wasnt going anywhere and was here for a good few years at least, and then a few days later he signed a pre-contract with man u.

People dont like Liam Miller because he promised he would be at celtic, then a few days later stabbed us all, and celtic in the back.

Its terrible alot of the views on this matter, totally barbaric and disgusting tbh. We would all be laughing if it was the huns.

Try putting yourself in his position too. He is a foreigner, he has little to no allegiance to celtic after coming here, he was an outsider coming into the club.

And how long is he going to be 16 ffs? The past 2-3 years ive been a member on this website, every time a thread is created, he always has the same age!!

so in comparison miller actually treated the club better than feruz had by giving us some time in the first team. If i was a foreigner in his position i know i wouldnt move on until i had properly thanked the club for basically saving my football career and possibly my life by appearing in the first team thats just the way i was brought up.

Who gave you the right to determine what a "real" celtic fan would feel. As evidenced by this thread real celtic fans have a range of opinions so you should keep your ignorant comments to yourself next time.

at the end of the day its not the slave trade!

yes maybe he does owe celtic something, but we have no right to keep him if he doesnt want to stay.

nor is he obliged to stay.

if he goes then good luck. i aswell as others will be disappointed, but wouldnt wish anything else but sucess for the bhoy!

Of course he does, its because of Celtic he is still in this country. If it wasn't for the clout of Tommy Burns and Celtic, he would have had very little chance of staying in this country.

Without the club stepping in he would have been deported to Somolia and it is very likely he would have been killed or died of starvation there. I am not sure about this but I think I read somewhere that the reason he fled Somolia was that his family had * off a warlord and most of his family members had been killed so I would say the club has saved his life or at least guaranteed him a nice life in a modern country.

    Well that's that then.

the club & TB saved him for:rolleyes:

People have every right to voice their opinion on the matter but no one on here has the right to question my support of celtic or say another supporter isn't a "real" fan just because they don't have the same viewpoint as me. As I said before any comments of these nature are downright ignorant.

He doesn't owe us his life but if he had any decency in him he would try to break through with us and repay us by playing with the first team for awhile at least, not * off to London at the first opportunity leaving us empty handed.

I'm sure he'll be on a nice earner at Chelsea even if he doesnt make it.

Agree with everything else you say :50:
