I don't know that there is any way to say this or that derby is the biggest game in the world. But there is no question that the Glasgow derby is right there among the biggest games in the world.
I love watching the Boca v River derby as well thats another good one.

Especially as both cites have other teams. With Espanyol and Atlético de Madrid.

 

The old firm is a derby which is unique. Theres a bigger history to it .. which is unmatched to other derbies. So yea .. the best in world football.

 

There are differences between local derbies and grudge matches. Though some grudges are bigger then derbies



for example, Man u v Leeds is bigger to Leeds than any local game. And the Liverpool fixture is Utd's biggest despite there being more local fixtures.

Not sure about the biggest. Some of the south american derby's look tasty, Turkey aswell. In central Europe I would say it is.

 

it used to be . all the restrictions placed on supporters now has killed it a bit. if the police , stewards and the all seeing eye of the media left the fans alone then, without a shadow of a doubt, no atmosphere would be better anywhere else in the world. imagine if we were allowed flairs etc. woohoo ... bring on the scum.
