He treats us with utter contempt, as if we're just peasants dancing along to his wee song. He is the root of the underacheivment surrounding our club, no ambition to improve us, only happy to spend OUR money on total pish while feeding us the storys of our top targets rejecting us yada yada yada. All the while taking a wage comparable to an EPL Chief Exec, who he says we cant compete with.

The guy is so out of touch with our support its unreal, but I honestly dont think he gives two * as long as his bonus is safe.

I would say he has a bigger involvemnt in the every day goings on than DD as well, he doesnt give a * about us either though.

Let me ask you this.....remembering PL takes a wage and is an employee.......if we got rid and replaced him what would change....and why do you think suddenly DD would allow the new ceo all these changes when he has not since MON left....?

I dont think Desmond would do anything. Im not asking for drastic changes to be fair, just some one running our club who is in touch with us and doesnt treat us like *. I would hope a new CEO would have a bit more ambition to improve us as well.

All good saying we're well run but we're not really if the footballing side of things is *, we are a football club after all. The fans dont pay to come and look at balance sheets.

Its all hypothetical but everything I said in my post is correct regarding Lawwell.

Don't get me wrong im not saying he does not have his flaws but fans seem to think if he was out the door suddenly our club would increase its spending and sign better players.
That simply will not happen while DD is ruling.

I dont see that happening either to be honest, I just want some one we can relate to and who treats us like paying fans. Hes a tory loving, money grabbing, * of a man. And I doubt most of us can relate to that.

I certainly don't mean to be rude or obtuse, but your opposition to PL seems based on a personal dislike of his manner rather than his ability to do his job... something he is rather good at. I don't give a fiddlers * about how he "makes me feel", as long as he does his job properly, which he does.

the root of this problem is DD and the board... who Lawell is an employee of.

DD was all for investment and euro advancement when he thought the door was open for a move abroad, once uefa and fifa kicked that into to touch he pulled the rug out from underneath the fans, * us in the * financially, halted real investment into the team and installed a succession of yes men managers and well trained dogs for the board room.

First and foremost if anyone should be kicked out of the club it should be Bankier and Little Lord Fauntleroy of Parkhead. The two of them are a complete disgrace and DD refuses to act in order to protect his own interests.

    * them all.

i have got to the stage now i want both DD and lawell to GTF as the football side of things are getting neglected with a pish management team and alot of second rate players . but we can only do that if the fans come together and get rid of this lot .

Your * right its down to my personal dislike of him. I also think a prerequisite of the job of CEO of an (sound like a hun here)institution like ours should be treating the fans how they deserve to be treated and not with total contempt. He doesnt care about the product on the pitch we pay to see.

I've said in previous posts about him he does his job well, but Celtic fans dont support balance sheets. We support passion, attacking football, togetherness - he promotes none of this. Itsa case of "us and them" in regards to the fans and the board.

I agree with the rest of what you've said btw, I just think hes the most complicit in this situation.

I agree time for the ronny out and sack the board banners to come out a think the board need to realise if they want fans to show up and decent money comming into the club they need to invest it doesnt take a blind person to know you need to spend money to make money

As Ive said before, the board as happy as a pig in * and more than content to sit with crossed fingers that we will continue to dominate domestically. St's sold this year, St's will sell again next season too with the sevco outfit coming up and that the "old firm fanboys" returning to the ground.

Only a major fan push will save us from further footballing detriment.

The board and especially DD need to be made aware that the product that WE are paying for is completely substandard, and that the likes of Bankier and Little Lord Fauntleroy of Parkhead have no place in our future.

    Time to act.

my own opinion, which i have stated in the past is that the manager should come out at the start of the season and say where he is setting the bar in terms of achievements and progress.

if we get injuries or bad breaks then the fans would understand and cut managers some slack.. and some managers do say stuff like top six finish or in lower leagues say the play offs etc

why cant the celtic manager do the same?

let the fans know what YOUR EXPECTATIONS ARE at the start of the season, let us see if we have the same mindset and

Supporters association should be on at Lawell regarding the downsizing and standard of players we are buying, the season tickets will probably be hiked up again. Should suspend the buying of season tkts till we see what players we get to try steer is into C.L. group stages

Surely though it's PLs job to watch the balance sheet and your comment about him not caring about the product on the park is just nonsense.

The passion, attacking football and togetherness is got to be down to the players and manager.

I do agree that there is a them and us situation developing between the board and a section of the support which is a difficult one to sort.

The fundamental problem for me is that we are falling financially further and further behind the top clubs in even mid ranking leagues like say Portugal and thus becoming less and less competive in Europe.
There has to be a way found to fundamentally change our current financial situation otherwise we risk being set so far adrift that making the group stages even becomes a pie in the sky rare event. We need to find a way to fundamentally change things financially and to my mind the board seems to have no interest in doing this at all.

Lots of people on here who were giving people absolute pelters for seeing through the manager early on, have openly admitted they were wrong.

Ronny has lost all of his supporters, and the only way he can win anyone back is getting us to the CL
