Really don't see what it achieves, poor player playing poorly getting booed by his own every time he touches the ball. Yeah that will make him play better and stop another goal.

What about shouting oot .....................yer * !

    Acceptable ? :smiley-laughing002:

  3. As I said yesterday I don't think the booing was aimed at Ambrose.
It was really aimed at the management for continuing to put Ambrose in the firing line.

Personally i would never do it but this is an exceptional circumstance. Rodgers may have inherited efe but being a celtic supporter himself surely he knows how the fans feel about him and shouldnt be putting him anywhere near this team. We should have been better prepared in getting someone in and pulled out all the stops, everyone knew we were short of cb due to injuries but weve * bout as per usual. Who knows the fans reasons for booing perhaps anger towards the board and brendan for him being on the park in the first place. Everyone wants to get behind the team but its hard when ur shittin it watching efe trying to skip past players in the centre of defence with ur heart in ur mouth. The trust is long gone so grant us all our wish and get him too * away from our team.

Yeah. I wouldn't do it, personally, but I think it's understandable. It all depends on the circumstances. If it's a one-off pish result and performance, then maybe not. But if the team have been playing * for weeks then I think the people paying crazy money to watch the team are within their rights to let their feelings be known.

The bit in bold - I've already said booing an individual is bang out.

If you cannot take a bit of criticism for not doing your job properly, especially for the money that you're on, then you shouldn't be a footballer.

I would like to think I go to a game to support the team rather than be a critic of individual performances

The team should get mercilessly booed should they give a horrendous performance. Don't believe in picking on individual players though.

  9. Yup. If they consistently insist on playing him week in week out after all the mistakes and errors he makes, what will change their minds? Writing big paragraphs on a Celtic forum venting your frustration or making your voice heard in the stadium?

  10. You support the team by turning up. Now if the players don't play the way you expect them to then you have every right to voice your frustration.

  11. Yup. A good manager is protective of his players. He should not be exposing them to ridicule and scorn. A good manager will take a player out of the firing zone, try and build his confidence behind the scenes again, but if that is not possible, then he has to release him.

I am beginning to think Brendan is a bit naive here.

He was booed because since 12/13 he's made many mistakes, a lot of high profile mistakes and fans do not want him to be on the park showing the kind of deadly finishing he did yesterday.

  14. Every Celtic manager that Efe has played under seems to have way more confidence in him than 99% of the fans do. I don't know what they're seeing in him, what he's doing on the training ground or what he's saying to them or whatever which is warranting the amount of game time he gets. When I seen him playing for Nigeria during the World Cup he did look more accomplished, competent and able than he has ever done for Celtic, which is something at least.

Efe Ambrose would be nowhere near the team if all our defenders were fit
Rodgers has also brought in Toure so he knows fine well what the problem is.

I honestly wonder about people on here sometimes, Rodgers is naive... Ffs. :31:

Don't think it's acceptable. But I don't think shouting abuse is any better
