our standard is shocking too though. they've been the better side. they were the only team to dominate an old firm game this season.

    rangers 2-4
    aberdeen 2-4
numerous draws to the likes of motherwell and inverness.
draws at home to hearts and dundee utd.

these are examples of how bad we are this season.

my opinion of how bad we are is of watching us struggle every week. of course we don't have the massive finances, but we have compared to the rest of the SPL excluding rangers, but we're also supposedly so far ahead of them too.

yes, a lot have over-reacted, but they're no different than those that have under-reacted.

calling for strachan's head is pathetic.
shouting abuse at strachan from the stands is pathetic.
booing from the stands is pathetic.

but these examples are no less pathetic than accepting the atate of the team at the moment.

for me the board deserves most of the criticism, i know we don't have x amount of money, but we can surely spend more than we are.

they dominated at 4-1 up yes but it was a very tight game in the first half. maloney curled one just wide then they went up the park and miller mis-hit one into the bottom corner, quickly followed up by a wonder goal and then boruc spilling one. wouldn't say they dominated the game to be honest. they closest to any team team dominating this season was probably us at ibrox although we contrived to not do anything with all our pressure and they won 1 nil.

I've read that post 3 times and still can't decide whether it's sincere or tongue in cheek!

Wrong, they didn't buy a totally new team, they bought 4 new players and they were put out because they played rank, negative football and unlike last season, they were found out, beaten at their own game and paid the price.

All fine and dandy but we've been extoled the virtues of having one of the best finacial results of any team in Europe, we're told we have a squad who are the most talented in Scotland and we have a reserve team who have been crowned champions 8 years running and yet our first team has been peppered with out of form and out of position players, resorting to playing a long ball game to try to break down the likes of Inverness and St.Mirren.

You might find an excuse for that in others rasing their game, but I find it excrutiatingly painful and extremely embarrassing that we're being sucked down to a level where our manager issues public statements prasing the virtues of players who consistently underperform. Mediocrity has been accepted within the walls of CP this season and is being spoon fed to a fanbase which is becoming increasingly frustrated and will in the end, show itself in lower season ticket and merchandising revenue, not to mention a possible loss of CL revenue.

As for your take on players, if you honestly think present day Boruc is top 5 in the world, you're seriously delusional. Explain to me why not 1 club is even sniffing round him?

And as for Samaras and giving him more time, how much time does the guy need? He has a first touch Dumbo would be red necked with and his form is up and down like a *'s knickers. The guy is not good enough for Celtic, no even nearly consistent enough and if he can't shine in a very ordinary SPL, where will he shine?

Sorry mate, your motives are pure but you've been wearing emerald tinted blinkers for far too long and have bought into the argument that we've not got worse and that others have simply got better. I beg to differ and our results prove that. Optimism doesn't win games. Skill, guts, determination and belief win games and championships and we've been sadly lacking in all of them this season.

Unfortunately that's the crux of the matter :54:

Although there's nothing wrong with trying to spread a bit of optimism :50:

We as celtic fans have been spoiled as of lately with titles. we have a good team who just arent firing on all cylinders lately. Rangers winning the league was going to happen sooner or later. wether it be sunday or another time. i feel if we improve certain areas of our team in the summer then we will be fine.

Just calm Down and Sunday will decide the titles fate

Nothing at all Danni....I'd just rather see it linked with a hard dose of realism also.

well then we were destroyed. 2-4 was kind on us.

the last game at ibrox did nothing for me. having lots of posession is meaningless unless you're creating chances with it. one clear cut chance is not enough. the header cleared off the line only counts as a half chance.

I know exactly how you feel FTB, but seen as we are in this situation and can't change it I've decided to spread the sunshine and be super optimistic (at least until Monday)

I'm a glass half full kinda ghirl (well it will be when I top it up in a minute :86:)

    Of course it sincere

I did not say we haven't got worse I am pointing out that we are not as bad as everyone is making out. Look man just because I don't think this is the worst Celtic team in history, all our players are worthless, Peter Lawwell is a thief, John Reid is a War criminal and Georgios Samaras is Freddie Mercury reincarnate does not mean i'm wearing green tinted Specs.

My point is mainly about the SPL standard as a whole and not just the best team in it.

Name 5 keepers who are definitely better than Boruc? And I mean like Cassillas, Buffon . . .

I speak to Kaunas fans just about every day and they realise Rangers now would have put them out, And mate i aint complaining that they did, I was delighted as anyone.

Is Samaras really that bad? He would walk into every other team in the SPL for a start.

I think I accidently edited your post a wee bit FTB I was trying to check my own spelling mistakes and went onto yours I think in case you're wondering lol
