Is Evander Sno Good Enough For Us

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by celtic-67, Jul 31, 2006.

  1. ps. give sno a chance, remember paul lambert was a nobody before he went to germany!

    hail, hail :celt_2:

  2. People saying he looked good against Everton :56: He came on for about 20mins in a dead friendly game playing against second and third choice players. I wouldn't get too carried away with that performance

Since then he has looked pretty poor and worthy of his £80k price tag imo

Still a young lad so could always improve but I don't think I'll be eating my words any time soon

    Strange signing

  3. He's only been here a few months, he'll settle well and become a better player. He's a kid who has to settle in another country without home comforts, so time will tell. He'll not be a first teamer all season, he's filling a gap just now.

  4. Sno is a young lad only 19 so i keep hearing......but lets be honest if this was a young 19 year old Scottish kid bought from a lower division Scottish side we would be expecting a lot more if he went right into the squad as this young guy has done. He may very well be a gem in the future but right now he looks exactly what he is, a big cumbersome raw kid way out of his depth playing in the Celtic team. Playing him now isn't fair on him and it isn't fair on the fans.......or the kids in the reserves for that matter. Get him into the second string and bring him along in the reserves, a year or two down the road when he has time to acclimatise and settle Gordon may well have unearthed a future Celtic star, for now though he shouldn't be near the first eleven in my humble opinion. 5. We bought a young player a few years ago from Feyenoord, he had long dreadlocks and was * the first few games for us.

That guy did not to bad for us, I'll give Sno a chance to settle.

  6. Henrik was a far more experianced player when he came to us than Evander Sno is. Henrik was already an established player in Holland. We were lucky in that at the time he was in some dispute with the club and Wim Jansen donned a big strippy jumper and mask and carried him off in a bag labeled swag from his Dutch team mates and dropped him in the Celtic first eleven. Henrik's capture was a one off, much as i would love to see Evander Sno make me eat my words i do not think it will happen......Not this season or the next, maybe down the road a bit. Wanmadtim

  7. Can't really judge him yet as he is still only 19 lets wait to see how he develops but lets hope he no a Reggi Blinker-lol.

He's made a few blunders right enough. The lad needs some time to settle in and get some games under his belt. I know he's done nothing yet, but I like him for some reason and I just have a feeling he'll be fine[IMG]

The guy only played a handful of senior games for Breda last year. he is being hung out to dry by playing beside unfit hasbeens in midfield

  8. i thought in the yokohama game altho he .. was partly at fault of 1 of the goals .. sno looked quite decent ... the lad will need time for sure .. remember hes only 18.. big change for the lad diffrent country etc/time to settle ... give him a season or 2 i say he will become better player.

  9. Sno is a good little player, but will never lace henkes boots. :50:

  10. he will b gd

  11. he will be ok give him time
