Sevco might not even have the spending power to challenge us, they are a smaller club than Rangers were.

Rangers in their last 10 years spent about £120million that wasnt theirs, £20million was Dave Kings, £50million was David Murrays, £15million was HMRC's, £24million was Ticketus' and they owed about £10million to other Clubs and business'.

So on average they spent £12million more than they could afford per season just to compete with us and when you take into consideration sometimes that earned them Champions League money think of the * theyd have been in if they never made the Champions League.

Sevco are a Club who will have a £35-40million budget that will need to compete with us who's budget will be £55-65million.

Unless they wheel out the next batch of Hugh Dallas, Stuart Dougal, Mike McCurry and Steven McLeans then they should be unable to touch us.

It would be tainted because Celtic would have no competition. They so easily forget they only did their 9 because of Murray's unlimited overdraft and that they had no competition because Celtic were on the brink of bankruptcy. It must be nice to have a selective memory.

Yes its realistic. We're in a great position off the field which transcends to on the park performances. The players will change over the next 5 years but I believe Lennon will still be here, what an incentive to break a record like 9IAR and overtake the scum in titles :50:

If we stay in Scotland its an absolute cert. Sevco dont make me laugh, without cheating and avoiding tax they have no chance of competing with us and thats if they are even still about.

The only thing that will stop us winning 10 in a row is wether or not the SPL is still going or if Celtic still ply their trade in Scotland, I have doubts on both of these.

no-1 other than Bayern or Dortmund can conceivably win the Bundesliga. No1 other than Real or Barca will ever have half a hope in * * of winning La Liga. No1 other than Man U or City will win the prem, or Chelsea if they ever hire a decent manager and keep him for longer than 5 seconds.
So many people act like the SPL is the only non-competitive leage when the reality is the vast majority of leagues are boring if you want to look at it that way, as you know who is gonna win before the season starts.

Anyway I hope we do 10 iar but history is of course massively against us on that one. Not even our greatest ever managers or players managed to achieve it so Lenny will have to go on to be better than Jock. Some * task but I hope he is capable.

One thing for sure is, we are all here at the beginning of a glorious period, possibly the best ever, in Celtic's grand history. :celt_2:

Pretty * meaningless really... winning 10 in a row with no opposition doesnt appeal one bit to me! It wont do anything for our prospects of signing decent players either... competing at the top table will only become more difficult without competitive football in whatever league we are playing in!

I don't see how it wouldn't be realistic? we did 9 in a row whilst simultaneously winning the worlds most prestigious club cup competition in the process, not to mention the domestic cups we won as well on the way.

I think it is absolutely a realistic target.

If you consider the gap in player talent, in finances, in scouting, in potential, I think the current crop of celtic players enjoy a far wider gulf than the 9 in a row Rangers side in 90s had. I think we are all but guaranteed 4 in a row without Rangers and even assuming Rangers come straight back into the top flight, there is no reason to assume they will suddenly be in a position to rival us. We are so far ahead of everyone at the moment it is staggering. I am usually not one to get carried away when it comes to objectives for celtic, but I see no reason why this cannot be a realistic target

I don't think Scottish football can sustain itself for that long the way it is just now, so I'm not sure we'll be part of a solely Scottish football league within ten years.

Doesn't mean we can't win ten titles in a row but i guess that depends where we are playing and who we are playing.

The huns will go bust soon and we will run scottish football while moving higher and higher in europe until we win the champions league the same season that we win the 10

    Let the people sing,
It is a realistic prospect, but in all honesty its probably not as good as it sounds. In other leagues aye, great because you would be continually having to outfight the chasing pack and people would say fair play, but in the SPL it's just a case of beating a struggling group of teams who often struggle for consitency to match us, and that'll be the case when Sevco reach the SPL too. I believe they will gain promotion every year, but it'll will take another 3 or 4 to get up to a serious title challenging strength. So keep strengthening throughout this period and of course it can be done, the only way it won't be done is if we take our eye of the ball and get complacent. Would be amazing if Lennon stayed to win those next 8 titles too.

Its realistic, but it shouldnt be. We need competition, and I hope its not gonna come the cheating * zombies. Hopefully motherwell or hibs could put up a challenge in a few years..
