Easily Lubo, the most naturally gifted Celtic player I've seen in the flesh by some distance. The prospect of watching him again in any Celtic time is salivating.

Jorge Cadete for me, this guy was feckin brilliant for us. Top class striker who banged in goal after goal. Sadly it wasn't to be for long. Anyone who ever saw Cadete play for us, will find it very hard to deny, Cadete was one of our best ever strikers. Love the wee Lubo man, one the most gifted players I've ever saw, but went for Cadete because that is exactly what we are needing right now. A goal machine that man was, and we havent got one in our team. Might be controversial here by saying that Gary Hooper couldnt lace Cadete's boots. We have a great talent of playmakers @ Parkhead, all we need is a deadly striker, who will regularly hit that feckin net. Cadete, right now, would put the finishing touches to a right good Celtic team :ynwacelti

See, I`m of the opposite opinion. I believe we need a real quality playmaker, one who can breakdown the packed defences we play against.

For that reason I would be looking at Naka or Lubo. They also bring a great set-piece threat. Went for Lubo in the end.

Lubo but Viduka would have been amazing in this team because he was a guarentee for 30 goals a season in Scotland.

I went for the Maestro as other then Commons we don't have much guile and creativity in midfield.
Beyond that I loved Marc Reiper at the back during his time. Just a brilliant out and out defender. While up front Balde is a long way off thus still leaving us without a quality target man type forward like Sutton or Hartson.

I don't see how you are reaching that conclusion.

I picked Lubo and I'd have picked Lubo even if I could pick Larsson.

Lubo easy. What a * player he was.

PS. Looking at that list and because he is included.
Am I the only person on this forum who thought Lennon was * useless?

I would say Lubo, we lack a bit of creativity.

He was a tough tackling CM that could do a job in the middle of the park. Nothing flashy or elegant, just no nonsense.

Certainly wouldn't call him useless. Brown is very like Lennon, with a bit more skill and more willing to get forward.

Neil Lennon is by far one of the best readers of the game I've seen at Celtic Park. Bailed us out on many an occasion.

For my own personal enjoyment I would choose Artur Boruc. For what's best for Celtic I would choose Lubo.

I loved watching both of them.

If he was taller and had more pace he would have played at the very top.

I understand why so many voted Lubo, but i cant help think it is being a wee bit overly romantic.I am convinced the guy was a beautiful footballing specimen, but only because there were such a dearth of such players in Scotland at the time.He was a breath of fresh air, and could see the game way ahead of most of the plodders of Scottish football in his time here...........but in reality, he was not sought after by multiple clubs all over Europe. He was a Big (wee gem) Fish in a small pond.He stood out here...................but what would he bring now that we dont already have.We dont need him to win anything in Scotland...............so you have to ask, is he the most important type of player to help us in Europe?
I dont think so.......the Europeans have seen many a similar player in their time.Europe has many cultured 2 footed players who do not shine because they dont play in a small pond.

Myself, id go for Lambert or Sutton or Collins for their all round ability and big game mentality and for the influence they have on their team mates.

Could barely choose between Lubo and Van Hooijdonk. Went for the latter in the end. One of the best strikers I've ever seen in British football.
