Lustig has needed replaced since Barrie McKay ripped him apart during the hogmanay game in 2016. The warning signs were there when such a mediocre player is making you look pish. History repeated itself 2 years later when that cast-off Kent turned him as he's sliding towards the advertising board.

There's no doubting he's a great guy and servant but he has now became a liability that we cannot afford. Every single team in the league targets us down that side knowing it's our weakness. Clarke had Jones pressing on him, Lennon had Boyle and Kambieri on him.

It's time to spend some money on real quality. If we can do that and get the right guy in it'll have a similar - if not bigger - impact than the introduction of Benkovic has.

To be fair, domestically we are * solid (as long as Benkovic is fit) my problem is going into the qualifiers in the summer.

 

There's also the worry he decides he is "injured" again so as not to risk an actual injury, especially if he signs a pre contract with someone and knows he is getting a move, rather than having to play to impress.
