if sammy could stay back for extra traing

One thing I agree with is that we were not as good last season as a lot of fans make out. We had a good 2 or 3 month spell after Xmas but otherwise I can see how Rangers were able to pip us because we were not great. As for Sammy, I have backed him a lot but I would sell if there was a bid of 2m for him. I dont mind a lot if he stays either but its last chance saloon. He needs to find a respectable scoring rate. He was actually much more of a striker for us in 3 in a row when he was definately a factor in our title win. He also started really well in one season but he has gone backwards since then. I still think he does a lot of great work leading the line under physical pressure that Stokes wouldnt be able to do but Sammy simply has to start scoring at least 15 a season to earn his keep.

 

Don't like the idea.Don't even like the idea of him staying.A striker is supposed to score goals,and he hasn't done anything in a whole season to suggest he'll be "useful in Europe" as is so often argued.

He obviously loves the club, when he missed that penalty at ipox he was absolutely gutted at FT - I felt really sorry for him

I doubt extra training will improve Sammy's confidence, which is what he requires. Even when he scores 2 at Ibrox and is the hero, he can't put in a good performance the match after.

 

FFS let's buy the Berwick Rangers team and give them "extra trainning" then well win the CL.

you have hit the nail on the head mate, smaller teams, and there have been a few that have upped there game, and given us a hiding, we sing the song "walk on" and 85% of the fans and players ain't got a clue what the song is all about, but the 15% of the smaller teams that we have played and that have * us, know exactly what the song means. take the CALLY game, and there fans, :bbpd: should there fans sing " walk on",would that have been appropriate there then.

extra training can also mean extra money, but extra Training can bring results that can never be denied, or a chance that the words from walk on, will affect our team.
