If I was Neil Lennon..

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Beatts1, May 11, 2011.

It's a fair point....IRA 1916 and into the War of Independence = OK.
    PIRA = Murderers.
So you have no solidarity with your countrymen in the occupied 6 counties = West Brit or Free Stater.

  1. * some republican calling your fellow Irishmen murderers who died to try & liberate your country while you were no doubt still in nappies down in the free state,,coming on slagging Celtic fans tonight of all nights is there something not wired right upstairs with you or something..go support man utd or liverpool like the rest of the west brits that are ashamed of there country.

  3. I think Lenny is too stubborn to give up now and let the bad guys win! Neil and his family must be going through torture atm, hopefully there will be an end to this madness!

  6. Who did I call murderers? I distinctly remember that it was someone else, do you remember * Friday 1972? do you remember the Enniskillen Cenotaph bombing 1986? is that legitimate warfare? if Cold War tensions hadn't been the way they were the stickies might have had more influence and became the dominant republican organisation and maybe I'd be sitting here today not being ashamed of the name IRA but here we are and I am. I'm not a * West Brit or whatever the * you want to call me.I'm Irishman and you're a Scotsman and I think I have more authority over matters concerning MY country than you do.

  7. just noticed the * has a friend with Lenny as his image, one cupping his ears, lol.

  8. cmon guys, if you wanna discuss ira/ireland/scotland stuff, please use PM or create a new thread. keep this thread tidy for Lennon talk.

  9. In a week when we remember the sacrifice of 10 brave men who went through unimaginable pain for Ireland, I find your accertions extremely offensive. I wont report you though. As for my tone....get over it.

The IRA did not have a monopoly on dishing out pain and suffering. They (PIRA) have now stopped, unlike the murdering British Army. I don't care if you disagree with the Republican movement however this is a Celtic fans forum and we historically have supported the IRA. Calling them murderers is provocative to say the least.

  10. And youll be welcoming the queen shortly also, your a time to move on person.

Also as he is a scots man, by your defination he has more authority on what celtic fans sing than you! Stupid statements!

  12. Im a scotsman?? how do you know me or something?? Its my country too i live here have children here have parents here..are you telling me to go home?? i know another set of football fans that sing that...authority listen to yourself man...funny how you slag the PIRA & say you are all for non violence but have a mock up of gerry adams with two assault rifles as your avatar..is that ironic or something...

But to keep it on topic i cant believe folk on here making out as if its Celtic fans that caused lennon to be attacked.. we have enough bother with everyone else in Scotland without our own starting on us.

  13. Can't help but feel sorry for Lennon. The man is just doing his job but the amount of * he has to put up with is ridiculous. Wouldn't blame him if he walks at the end of this season, but I truly hope he doesn't. So proud of what he has done with this club since he has taken over.

  14. Thanks for not swearing and my friend from Enniskillen has also gone through a lot of pain. Not for any cause though.
As said on my previous post, I am a Celtic fan and do not need you to tell me or other Celtic fans to support the ira becaus it is historically attached to my allegiance to a football team. Yes, I know, a bit of light relief after a week at work, watching my beloved Celtic.

To keep on the thread. I hope that Neil Lennon stays as Celtic manager but I would not blame him for leaving for his own safety.

    Yours in Peace.

  15. I've often wished I was not born in this country and that I didn't live in this country. Never more so than tonight.

The word 'disgrace' is bandied about far too much on football forums but for once it can safely be used in context.

The treatment Neil Lennon has received since he set foot in this diseased, sectarian little backwater in 2001 is a disgrace.

  16. Eh.....the fact you happened to be born in Ireland does not give you that right. You may have a Passport but thats about it.

  17. I'm not using hyperbole when I say that Lennon could have easily been slashed tonight, and it's for that reason that I think he'll walk.

If he is forced to quit then I'm sorry but that's it; game over. Time to pack it all in and call it a day, I'll certainly not be watching Celtic play in this bigoted backwater of a country again.

  18. Well originally Glasgow is where I got that from. Also don't be an idiot where the * did I tell you go home? go on point it out to me? I merely said as an IRISHMAN I have the right to choose the direction my country is heading in, not some 16 year old chav from Glasgow who decides he'll read a propagandised book about the IRA get sucked in by the romanticism and shout such rhetoric. I'm a republican, I support the unification of my country. I respect many members of the Provisional IRA. I deeply respect the ten men who starved themselves to death in prison for their rights. The conviction they showed was honourable. They ARE NOT murderers. Like I said previously I never said the PIRA were murderers that was a different poster so stop accusing me of it don't give me any of that free stater crap because I probably know a * of a lot more republicans than you and former Provos at that. I have personally met many former volunteers and my family is friends with a man who was a volunteer. I said that actions like the Enniskillen cenotaph bombing and * Friday were inexcusable and unforgivable and I said I would have supported the stickies. My point concerning the IRA chant tonight was that it was meant to heighten tensions at an already disgusting atmosphere by alienating the opposition support. It was an idiotic move by our fans especially concerning the circumstances our manager finds himself in. I'm not against the rebel songs we sing, some I would like taken out but most I'm happy with but that chant tonight was idiotic.

  19. Lennon just had a death threat and he has zero security... #baffled
