Why? It would be a clever move to free up Ronaldo if any defensive responsibility.

 

Ronaldo is so much better coming in from the left where he has space to run into. He's at his worst with his back to goal.

He also hates playing up front. Shouldn't bother you right enough but you still want to keep your best player happy.

They would shape it to Ronaldo's strength's, no doubt about that. I just think they'll move his position so he doesn't need to track back at all. A more fluid system that allows him to focus on attacking.

Dutch politician is apparently raising some issues with it. The banks that fund Real Madrid have been bailed out (according to the politician) by Dutch and German banks and he doesn't think that this is wise usage of the money.

 

Reports suggesting Gareth Bale was 'only' bought for £77 million and that Ronaldo was still the most expensive.

Spanish media has reported this fee for a while, however the U.K. media looks to have kept pushing the 'world record' - in an attempt to promote the EPL.

It could rise to a world record fee however, with add ons included and these 'add ons' are what Tottenham have put in the final settlement - to look better.

 

I suspect your probably right there. I can see him playing the last few years of his career back in Argentina but I don't see him leaving Barcelona until then.

It's not that simple, the EPL and England in general is a hideously inflated market and if you buy the player of the year from that league then you have to pay the fiddler.

The price isn't necessarily reflective of the player for me, but more where he plays. There are championship player that will sell for more than top-flight players in Spain, Holland and Germany.
