Aye funnily enough it was the players you would expect to play well that didn't (Pukki Griffiths etc...) and the players everyone thought would have a howler actually did no bad like O'Connell.

 

Aye, our more experienced players were all poor I thought. Twardzik was the worst on the park though I thought. He was getting ripped a new one before he was subbed.

 

I think Deila's way of playing leans more heavily on match sharpness and fitness than most systems, though. His key word is intensity for a reason. :smiley-laughing002:

I expect him to be a great success here but, unless he changes his style, I think that'll be a theme of his time here: that players who aren't playing regularly will look a bit poorer than they normally would until they're fully match fit and match sharp.

 

Was dissappointed yesterday but not all that shocked. For me it was absolutely the right decision to rest the first team for Tuesday. It's much too important. Biggest game of the season by far.

 

I can see what you are getting at, but there didn't even seem to be any fight in us either in my opinion. Match sharp or not, there was no excusing how poor some players were yesterday I think.

 

I feel a bit sorry for Twardzik because he clearly isn't a LB but even so, I don't even see him breaking into our midfield.

A player such as him should be getting loaned to another Scottish club.

 

I actually thought he done ok in that position last game of the season against Dundee Utd, but he just looked like a fish out of freshwater.

I agree with you on loaning him out though.

 

Just sell him. He's 21 now, he's not going to make it at Celtic.

 

I don't know how long he has left on his deal but surely loaning him out for a season will net us more money if he performs well or net us a good player if he performs really well.

 

It would be good to see him loaned out and playing in his favoured position.

 

Quite poor from Celtic on Saturday. I was at the game and Inverness were brilliant. They passing game was so much better than last season and defensively were sound! Apart from 1/2 we got in during the first half.

Celtic IMO started quite slow but grew in the game in the first half. Pukkis double chance he should of tucked that away. No idea why he took a touch first. Commons was unlucky with Brill making a good season and Bitons shot was a beauty just wasn't happening.

Second half was poor IMO. Expected much more after Inverness scored. Which was very unlucky on young O'Connell.

Obviously we will still win the league by a mile so I'm not even concerned about the loss, he did make 10 changes.

Biggest game of the season tomorrow.
