Will always support Celtic through thick and thin but i agree that quality replacements for players haven't been signed. We now have a very short space of time to put that right. I just hope Lennon has been working on signings under the radar.

I still believe we can win this tie and progress into the CL but the right team has to be picked. Leaving Stokes on the bench in a game crying out for a goal is criminal.

Maybe last nights "game" did have an impact on me making this thread but the trsult
Did not! what bit do people like you not get about that? Last nights game only has a bit to do
With it because lawell thinks we don't need to spend! And in top of others things I have stated about my existence in the ground this and next week aswell as money etc

So don't try and tell me that's its doublet because of last nights result

I never says I will but all the stuff that's happening off the field with players not being signed my position in celtic park all the things I have sayd are slowly making me faid away with it... A bit like disappointment !

I'm old enough to have seen penny pinchig days before but when we are at a point debt free soon when we pay it all off selling best players making a huge profit from that and European football and not doing nothing is the last straw!

I bet "if" we make it money will be spent and lawell will be the cheeky chappy again who everybody likes it will all be forgot about again until the next time and we will continues key put money in the guys pocket ! Nah not me

Some pish getting posted since last night on various threads. People need to calm down and go look back to the 90's and see what it was like to have something to really girn about.

You make some good points mate and I fully take them on board and agree with them. Like I said, I have no real opinion on the GB.

I do however, value an ultra's group, in the sense that you mention. I think the GB have shot themselves in the foot, but again there should be better dialogue, however I find it horrible for people to say they are losing interest in the club due to this matter.

Excellent post, good to see someone else understands what is needed to keep this club afloat.

I agree whole heartedly with your points. Lawell is a celtic supporter but he knows we also need to balance the books and not make rash decicions based on one or two results the way a fan would . You can be sure we are trying to sign players but not at any cost and we cannot force teams to sell to us, Much of the business of buying and selling players seems to be like a chess game of strategy or poker sometimes it will come off and sometimes its checkmate. * help some of the people on here if they supported another SPL team who finished mid table and lost all their good players every year to the old firm or the championship to stay afloat and if they are lucky enough to get into europe they crash out at the first hurdle. How do they manage to stay faithful. There are no gaurantees even if we did make other signings it would have changed last nights result as knowing our luck they would be out with an injury from the word go. Defeat and diisapointment are part of football and we have no divine right to beat any team on their day. I for one will be there on Saturday and wednesday supporting the team and even if we get beat I will carry on after a mini nervous breakdown or two supporting the team for as long as I can afford it :shamrock:

As much as you may find Celtic are losing their identity, if everyone walked away and said * this then what identity would we have then, none. As much as I hate Celtic being a business and putting money first if everyone had the attitude of, I don't like this so I'm off then our football club would be nothing, that's why I'll stick with us to make sure I support what I believe in!

I suspect after we win the home tie 3-0 after extra time everyone will magically start believing again.

Think that the days of us being a stepping stone into the premiership is pretty much finished. Young players have a better chance of getting a big move if the are playing for a smaller team in the Dutch,Italian or German leagues etc.Even our best player we have had in a lot of years only got a move to Southampton with the only other notable interest being Cardiff. The league without they * is far too weak. We still have the potential to attract big names thanks to European football and we can offer good wages to players.

Fair enough on the point about losing interest, it is a one horse race thanks to other SPL clubs on the whole not being anywhere near as good as us. Think a lot of us are scunnered as we have lost three huge players and they have not been replaced, although sadly I think lawell feels there is a glass ceiling for the club and he is not willing to smash through it.

To be fair I quite this has been a fairly regular complaint of late. People will of course moan more when we lose but throughout last season some fans were complaining that they felt distant from the club. Some were complaining that they have been priced out. And some were complaining because they werent seeing reinvestment in the team. This thread is really just a culmination of several issues we have readily discussed on here.

I've been feeling quite disenchanted and frankly bored with celtic for a while now. The league last season was pretty dire and every game this season so far has been woeful to watch. I think the reaction you're seeing from people now is them being tipped over the edge of frustration, rather than a knee * reaction. Many people have been * off at the board and the way the club is heading on the park for a while and the result last night pushed them over the edge. That's how I feel anyway.
