I didnt only hear them say they wanted him out but basiclly threaten strachan to get out! The fans have had enough of his personal vendetta aginst riordan (who was ok today) and TOMMY TOMMY GEE US A WAVE (whom was excellent when he came on and gave us that extra dig). Its time starchan either left, made new singings ot played the right people.

    On todays performance:
Hartely - inept cannot string passes togther , looks to go backwards, think his best days are behind him, all gee him a chance tho.

Pressely - Was out of his depth again today , i think the only reason he was signed was because 1. the media hyped him up and 2. he was amde to look good in a poorish hearts side.

Miller - Might aswell of brung me on for Riordan

Boruc - Coped wel with the aerial threats

McManus - Wasnt his usual self , but he's aloud a slight laps no and then

Riordan - Wasnt his most prolific self but had gr8 flicks and touches and dragged defenders away to give Jan a better chance.

Tommy - True professioanl, always smiling boosts morale in the team gets on with people seen that today with miller and the fans, played well when he came on didnt give the ball away , looked around him and created chances while going forward.

Jan - topclass unlike hartley didnt get thrown off the ball and two clincial finishes.

Lennon- I am an admirier of him howver i feel unless he leaves at the end of the season his good times wont be remebered, to slow today, gave ball away

*I know not all players that played or started are included

    ** A well a final is indeed a final :87:

ChampionsElect, do you not think that you are bouncing your opinions on all Celtic with every match?

Of course players performances are going to vary, it is NORMAL. When players turn in seasons of 9/10's its called world player of the year.

People are jumping off the deep end too quickly in my opinion.

He is getting the results in the main and hopefully the two trophies shortly but he is probably as aware as the rest of us that we are crap at times, so i think next season will be the big one for all of us including WGS and i think it's make or break.
It's a love/hate thing at times with the wee man!

Jarosiks had much more games. and Graveson's getting more than Henke earned at our club. If Hartley does as good a job as those two do (ie warm the bench) thn what are you worried about?

Back to the point of this thread. WGS has won us two titles out of two, what the * do peo0ple want from him?

    Please enlighten me.

Celtics havent really varied over the last 4 weeks , people like hartely have been a constant 4/10 thats what i am getting at!

And why should we not expect 9/10 for a large percentage of the games?
We play in the SPL we should be able to get 9/10's aginst other teams should we not?

And for all the fans that travelled to hampden to see their team play in a semi final you would think they could of produce so quality football? Like the 1st 10 min?

a very good post, i like alot of what wgs does but in the aspects of you're points he is due some answers to give.
a blind man and his dug can see the team is better with riordan in it and graveson should be there instead of hartley or lennon but why do we always have managers who don't seem to learn from their mistakes, or of previous managers mistakes,
in football you are always learning and at times wgs seems to give the impression he has all the answers, humility cost nothing yet can cost everything. i hope he does'nt go the way of advocaat and le guen,
as i think he is more of a football tactician than he is showing us right now :50::50:

It's not a good post, most of it is pish.

Strachan has been unlucky with injuries this season which has denied him some good players.

What the * does it matter that players haven't won a trophy? They have to start somewhere. I could argue that someone who hasn't enjoyed much success in their career so far will be hungrier to get it.

He looks like he doesn't know what he's doing? What the * does that mean? How do you quantify that? What does a manager who knows what he is doing look like?

Currently I dont think Strachan is doing verywell, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best I would give him a 6, that is not good domestically considering the opposition is poor and that definitely includes Rangers.
Greendave you have me curious what injuries are we talking about that GS has had to deal with, that for example there wasnt a replacement available, and here I am mainly refering to games from the last CL game?

Off the top of my head....

Balde broken leg (I know you thought that was a blessing, but we're talking about WGS)

Caldwell serious knee injury when he and McManus were looking a solid pairing at the back

    Beattie with his glass hamstrings

McManus had a groin strain over new year forcing WGS to sign Pressley

Wilson has missed most of the season with 3 different injuries

Zurawski had a calf injury which took weeks to clear

Vennegoor of Hesselink has missed many games with hamstring injuries

Sno will miss the run in with a knee injury

I don't know if thats them all, but it's been the worst season for injuries that I can remember in recent years.

I dont need to read anymore, * absurd, the mention of the biggest waster that has worn a Celtic shirt in defense Balde is enough.
Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but I am out of your discussion.
Didnt want the man injured or hurt, but in reality that was a blessing and an advantage Balde not being available! :87:

I noted exactly what you would say about Balde, but what about the 7 others below it?

lennon's been dying on his feet all season,

miller has more off days than a paraplegic rodeo star,

jarosik as a striker, or, midfielder as its the only position i haven't seen him in (for a full game anyhow)

pressely in front of o'dea, joke

sno, graveson not getting a run in the team, joke

riordan sitting on the bench doing * all, takes the biscuit

mcgeady picking up a shirt ahead of him is imo a disgrace,

and yesterday ,it looked to be a petty two fingers to the fans, as a reminder as to who picks the team, taking off riordan when half the team where pish,
and keeping TG on the bench till the last 11 mins

can you justify that Dave, as almost every celtic supporter i know thought he was one of our best players on the day and Lennon and Hartley needed replacing.

by the way IMO so far Hartley has been an unqualified let-down so to be a first pick ahead of TG is a dumb-*,

all these give the impression he doesn't know his best side or is incapable of putting aside petty differences to the good of the team.

the question could be asked if it is not you who is talking pish Dave.
i know you have a good knowledge of the game though you appear to be shoving your head in the sand rather than to point out inefficiencies in our team due to some misplaced loyalty of being supporter grandiose,
further more, Dave ,after seeing the debacle of le goon.
i'm wondering if wgs saw that, and is now orchestrating his exit from the club as his decisions on the subjects we have been exploring are quite baffling and could be construed as a means to an end. which , despite my reservations i don't want to see :38: :shamrock:

agreed the injuries are playing a part dave but team selection and partnerships at different times during the season have been wrong, and medically wgs cant do anymore than pick his best eleven. but he hasn't been, has he

I noted that you didn't actually answer my questions but I'll plough on nonetheless.

Maybe you're right, maybe your opinion reflects the general mood amongst the support and I'm out on a limb. But I would definitely call any theory that WGS is trying to work his ticket a load of pish.

I didn't want Riordan substituted either, and my views on Misser are well known. But I firmly believe that the buck stops with the manager. His neck is always on the block so he can do as he pleases while we are winning.

He is not exactly building up a lot of goodwill among supporters tho, so a bad start to next season will no doubt see the bandwagon gather pace.
