Hello, new here just need an opinion. Mate arguing about calling their Rangers fans Huns and them calling my mates a bunch of tims.

What do you think? Do you care if your called tims by a bunch of Rangers fans?

welcome to the forum first of all,

i use the word 'hun' occasionally, but not when slagging my mates, i don't mind being called a 'tim' but i cant stand being called a '*'!

I'd say "tim" is generally non-offensive - on a par with calling a rangers fan a "bear".

"Timothy" is more offensive; but I'd say the equivalent of "hun" would be something like "taig" (although this literally translates as "bard" or "poet", so is actually a praise word.)
