    I read on Twitter last night that a source inside CP confirmed that he would be joining us soon. Take it with a pinch of salt of course, but sounds promising nonetheless.

    i think people are bumming this guy up to be a world beater when i don't think he's THAT much better than what we have just now, but nevertheless he would be a SUPERB signing for free

    Agreed. I wouldn't pay much money for him, but to get a striker of his calibre on a free transfer would be a good bit of business for the club.

    We also have a sizeable amount of wages freed up now, after the recent departures of some fringe players.

    Have a feeling this might happen he's been kicking around the bottom half of the EPL for years he has never been at a big successful club, were the only ones who can offer him that and he's at the age where i think that's what he's after, wee shaun, McCarthy and heid might have had a word with him too
